Same for me. I was tired of waiting, and something just told me that waiting, combined with paying the most money for a game getting the worst reviews is idiotic.

So I have MVP. I hate EA, but I am happy.

well I rented MVP and MLB 2K5 yesterday...
the new MVP is solid and much improved from last year
MLB 2K5 is the most horrid baseball game I have ever played.
I hate it with every fiber of my being.

I know there are those of you out there that like it, but in my opinion
the ESPN charged baseball game doesn't deserve the high scores and positive
        reviews it is getting.

seriously guys, for me it borders on unplayable...

I'm highly anticipating MLB 2006, it's unfortunate it's not getting the attention
it deserves... ESPN should be last in all of these head-to-head reviews
(with the exception of the commentary which is awesome)

I would have liked to see what EA would have done with integrating the ESPN
        license into MVP....

        oh well....

I don't know how anyone can like all of the meters in mvp.

I don't, ea has shown that they have no talent in the presentation department no matter what license they have.

Obviously 989 understands it since they copied the pitching meter. Also, the throwing meters in the field makes for the most realistic fielding of any of the games.

Did I ask if 989 understands? I said I don't see how anyone can like all the meters in mvp. It's not a good system at all in my opinion. And just because 989 took it doesn't mean anything, they saw how popular mvp was and they might be trying to get some converts. There are some people who will not play a game because of it's control scheme, even if the game is great.

If you was able to load up the meter before the ball gets to the fielder, then it would make for the most realistic fielding of any of the games. Because then it would give gamer the oppertunity feel like he really is the fielder, because in baseball they know where they gonna throw it, and how hard ,as the ball is coming to them. Now 989 has the choose a base before the fielder has the ball, but u cant determine how hard u throw it, and thats one thing i must say i like about mvps fielding but i still like 989s better.

How is a throwing meter in the field realistic, Sport? Personally, I can't think of a worse "innovation" in a baseball game. I much prefer the pre-load throws of MLB (and WSB2k1, back on the DC). In my opinion, that much more greatly resembles what it's like to play baseball in real life than trying to watch/guage some stupid throw meter.

No offense, but I hope you try/get tired of MLB pretty quickly. For a month now, I've read your pro-MVP/negative MLB posts and I really hope that you're not around long on this board after MLB comes out. You seem to be looking for a reason NOT to like MLB.
