Alll the fuss is about a great playing baseball game, with killer animations and an attention to detail that MVP does not come close to getting right. Seriously, last year's MLB is the only reason I own a PS2. And it's pretty much the only reason why I'm seriously considering buying a PSP.

That's a pretty sad reason to own a game system. I liked last years MLB,but not to the point where I'd say it's the only reason I own a system. Heck, the fact that you couldn't take an updated roster into franchise mode last year, killed it for me.

Yes, I loved the game too, but this to me was it's primary downfall. However despite this and the very big pain in the rear that it was to edit rosters, it was still my baseball game of choice. Whch is why I don't get how it is getting some of these low scores. It kept the solid gameplay (just an assumtion from videos don't jump all over me I am not saying I have it) and improved on it's flaws, has the best owner mode, and of course career mode and eyetoy support for the personal touch, yet its scores are low? Doesn't make sense.

Got it on the 22nd. That's 13 days ago. And let's see you find a post prior to MVP 2005 coming out in which I stated it would be the best of all the baseball games. You can't. Because, and I know this may be shocking to some here, I play the games first.

Unlike some of you, I don't have an agenda outside of wanting to play the best baseball game(s). Sheesh.

Sounds like you might have made a few judgements about MLB without having played it. That is a statement that should be made after having played it, no?

Are we all biased in MLB's favor? Yeah, probably. But so too are you against it. You can pretend that you're not, but it ain't fooling anybody.
I'm not trying to fool anyone. And I'm not trying to trick myself into believing it's the best baseball game around WHEN IT HASN'T BEEN RELEASED YET. Do I have a right to be skeptical after the mediocre reviews and after having played and not enjoyed last year's game? Yep. You guys really need to lighten up. These are games.

I bought a PS2 on Saturday just so I could play MLB 2006. All I care about is baseball games, and if all I was stuck with was MVP 2004v2.0 and MLB 2k5 it would have been the most boring summer ever. Seriously, I can't stand the fact that MVP is the exact same game as last year that I already played to death, with all of the same inaccuracies - and that MLB 2k5 has as many bugs as it does.

So I had to get a PS2 because the last shot for a good, exciting baseball game is MLB 2006. If it sucks, I guess I can just get MLB 2k5 for it and at least avoid the famous kush xbox freezing.

Why do you have to judge somebody over their reasons for owning a system. Why would it even mater to you?
I creating Ryan Langarhans and put him in the braves roster, but not only my entire braves roster changed but other teams roster changed too. Why is that. Now if the braves or other teams trade or sign players, there will be no point for chsnging it. If u don't have online like me, u be sad too.
