This year, either I am killing the computer, or getting completly blasted, plus the game looks to much like a cartoon, the players move rather awkwardly, and most of the hits seem to go up the middle.
To me 989's game is the best, but after playing 2k5, I am really starting to enjoy it, even with its flaws.
Don't get me wrong, MVP is still a great game, but I just cannot get into it this year, it seems almost stale.
I'm almost tempted to pickup MLB2006 even though it has the bugs. All 3 games have their strengths, but I can see the weaknesses in them also.

I just wish 989's game wasn't so buggy. Sony's title does so many things the right way that the other 2 don't that makes that game so enjoyable.

I've been frustrated by the presentation and difficulty with MVP, 2K5 just still seems way too arcady even though the presentation is top notch, and MLB2006 plays like a cross between High Heat and MVP.

I don't know anymore with these companies.

I also don't get what all the complaining is about. I have been having some great games with WSE. Yes, of course there is lots of room for improvement here, but IMO it is the best baseball game out right now. I also own MVP and it's ok, but I simply have more fun playing 2K5. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing what 2KSports does with this franchise on the next gen consoles. As for WSE, I find it to be much less buggy than the first version released in March. For me the 2 biggest game killing bugs in the first release was the stupefying line-up glitch and the random game freezes. I don't know if I have been very lucky or what, but I have had no freezing problems at all in WSE, and I have made extensive moves on my rosters and have yet to have that horrible line-up glitch rear it's ugly head (although I have read some posts where people say it's still a problem, I have not experienced it in this version).

I am by no means a 2KSports fanboy, I was extremely angry with them for releasing the last version full of bugs (I still feel that it was somewhat inexcusable). Although we shouldn't have had to pay another $25 for what the original release should have been, but when you consider that the price of the 2 games combined is still under $50 + they threw in a pretty cool DVD...it's not all that terrible IMO.

I also play on All-Star level ("Pure Baseball" setting without changing the sliders) and I have been consistently experiencing some quality baseball games.

Actually, with the exception of the freezing bug(Major Flaw), and the roster editing, MLB 2006 is the least bugged game out there imho, you really should pick the game up!
If freezing is an issue, set the amount of presenation to few and there should not be a problem!!

Is there anyway to edit player ratings, while in franchise mode?
          Thanks
