It seems weird for some things that they didn't enhance, though.

So, for anybody that knows yet, is Candlestick Park in the game?

I think I have just witnessed the 3B crackhead glitch. Unless I am doing something wrong

I decided to start a GM career with the Pirates. My very first game, I have two straight balls hit to the left side of my infield, and neither time does it take control of my 3B but once it makes me control my SS and then the second I had to use my pitcher. Both runners were safe.

Is this the crappy glitch everyone is talking about?

Am quiet aware, that's why I made reference to the modes, but they didn't do much with the gameplay itself to warrant a purchase, in my opinion, unless you're one of those people who like the new modes. I purchased it hoping I could get into career/franchise play with a new feel to the game. For me, it's just not there.

          ehh,

I never played with cursor batting. What are you specifically looking for and I'll check it for you.

Not to be a pest but has anyone checked out the Manage Mode option?

                Jim,
I take it that you think this game is not worth even opening up? I bought it but haven't had a chance to try this. I've been watching Houston vs. Astros tonight, my teams 2 rivals. I have to root for them for World Series since I hate the White Sox.

Meh, I think we're going to have to wait for MLB 2K6 on that one.

Think of K-Zone pitching, and then K-Zone 2 pitching. K-Zone pitching is like the batting cursor this year. He wants to know if they've made it like K-Zone 2 pitching like in previous years (free-roaming, isn't radial; doesn't revert back to the center).

Well, Candyman, not saying I don't like MLB2k5, just saying, for what I wanted it's not worth it. If you are interested in the world series/pennant stuff then wait to see what the other guys say, but for me it meant more player editing/the rosters need work/etc.

I wish I hadn't opened it, but what the hey. I'll take it to Gamespot tomorrow with some other games I'm gonna sell and get credit (towards the XBOX360 purchase).

I care about the rosters and editing. Does the game not allow you to do proper roster management?

                        ehh,

The cursor is in the center always. Not free roaming. You must start from the center and work it outside, down, up, depending on the pitch. Sort of cumbersome. Then after the swing it reverts back to the center. Hope that helps.

                          Candyman,

The editing and stuff is just like last years. I just don't want to go through that again. It's the same setup.

I have almost finished an update to my last ASB2k5 roster that I put out a couple months ago. Think I'll play with that for awhile. Sort of rostered out. If this one would have taken our old save rosters.......

Re: Hola desde Neuva York @ ERNESTO

Hey bro...thanks for replying....I was born in East New York, Brooklyn (ex major-leaguer Shawon Dunston's neighborhood...played basketball against his then, lil azz-lol), but I live in lower Manhattan...about 8 blocks north of where 'ground zero' was. I've been in this neighborhood (Tribeca) since 1982.

I heard it's a BIG difference in the ATL...know a few that live there---including some New Yorkers. ATL is also a WHOLE lot cleaner...lol
Yeah, it's expensive here...u got that shhhh right...lol
But I gotta admit, I'm a New Yorker to the heart..so I odnt think I'll ever leave here

The Salsa, Merengue and even Reggaeton clubs are all over...theres even a Reggaeton FM station here...105.9 Latins in the HOUSE!!!!!

I'm a Mets fan and Red Sox fan (hey, when the Mets sucked, I needed a team to root for to get back at those DAMN Yankees fans-lol). I do have a TON of friends who are Yankees fans (some are damn bandwagon jumpers-lol)And it's fun to go back and forth all year....

Dont feel too old bro...I'll be cuarenta y ocho next week...a youthful 48 I might add ;-) I have to be...my son is 18....gots to keep up with his azzz....

My fav game? MVP 2005....playing a game right now...a day game between Anaheim (we) and Baltimore (CPU) at Camden Yards. Colon is leading 3-0, on the strength of a 2-run homer by Juan "ex-Yankee" Rivera...Daniel Cabrera has come out and Jason Grimsley is now in...pitching the top of the 8th. You knowwww I got K-Rod (the Yankee killer) in the fold, right? lol

No, it does. He's talking on Kush's behalf, on how they did a half-assed job on the rosters and player attribute edits.

For instance, the Giants still have Deivi Cruz, Michael Tucker, Alex Sanchez, Marquis Grissom, Jason Christiansen and Kirk Rueter.

They also haven't updated player ratings. Tyler Walker is still a 55, Noah Lowry is still a 78, Scott Munter is still a 55... they don't even have Accardo or Taschner in the game. Also, no Dan Ortmeier, Angel Chavez...and no Matt Cain .
