Re: MLB 2K5 WS Edition Impressions Thread

Hey I guess the fact that there are no posts yet in the MLB 2K5 WS Edition "Bugs/Glitches" Thread is a good sign. When the last one was released I was reading about tons of problems right away. Does this mean that they are fixed??? Has anyone had the problem yet in WSE where you are adjusting your lineups and 2 guys end up at the same position? If so, can you simply just re-assign their position instead of going through Hell to fix it?

Disappointing. Utterly disappointing. Gamebreaker right there... plain and simple.

I don't even intend on renting this game. The only way I'll play it is if one of my friends buy it.

That's the problem... I can't even look at Madden -- ugh!

Can you turn off the strike zone yet, and did they put one-button hitting back in?

Wow, it's a bad sign when Blzer comes down on MLB 2k5.

I am, I know. It's not MLB 2K5, though. It's Kush. While I have accepted their product, I haven't accepted them in general—neither in baseball nor hockey.

I sure wish VC was the developer for this game.

Anyway, I hope you're not considering me a fanboy or something, because I'm not. This just happened to be my favorite game this year.

You CAN turn the strikezone OFF.

Had the firstbaseman field a ball and there was no delay on an underhanded toss to the pitcher covering first. It looked faster because last edition it seemed very slow.

Those are actually two terrific improvements. Those are great signs for next year's game.

I didn't think I would get the game based on what I've read already but new games are like kryptonite to me so I picked this up while I was at EB to get the world poker tour. I haven't played it yet though so I can't give any impressions.

This is the first news we've gotten to confirm that they actually tweaked the existing code. Great news. Thanks Jim!

                            Thanks alot Jim!

When you get a chance I just have one more request, about the batting cursor. Can you check real quick if it's the same as 2k5 or if it's like 2k4 and prior versions.

Well, it might be too early, but runner on second, two out, first base open the CPU pitched to the number 8 batter, did not walk him and Smoltz came up to hit, but it was the third inning so I'd have to test this out some more.

Yes, a night game in SF, but I haven't tried franchise/career mode.

A few questions (and since these will take getting into a franchise to find out, please don't feel rushed to answer):

                                1. Is player fatigue fixed? In 2k5 players (fielders AND pitchers) would never tire from game to game unless the games were simulated.

                                2. Is confidence fixed? Similar issue.....and I have a feeling that both problems can be linked to the same programming error.

                                3. What about the weather? No more long sleeves in Arizona on opening night? (I usually play as the Cubs, and that's exactly what I got in the first 3 games of any franchise) It was fixable through a little "god-playing" in the exhibition mode, but I'd rather not have that hassle again. Also, the wind problems were related to this, so I wonder if that's been fixed too...

Thanks in advance, and again, please don't feel rushed to answer.
