      Jim,
I have been looking for something different than MVP Baseball that would be fun. The last 2 years I have stuck with MVP, it seems like it's better to take this back from the impressions.

        Candyman,

The game can be a lot of fun. If you're a stickler, then you'll probably do a lof of editing. It's a pain because it's so time consuming. The rosters need some player movement, that wouldn't take so long, but then you'd want to check ratings and that's where you can get bogged down.

For the money? If you're looking for a winter game, I'd say give it a go.
The presentation is top notch. Why don't you wait for some more impressions from people who are still testing?

They also haven't updated player ratings. Tyler Walker is still a 55, Noah Lowry is still a 78, Scott Munter is still a 55... they don't even have Accardo or Taschner in the game. Also, no Dan Ortmeier, Angel Chavez...and no Matt Cain .

It would be great if the rosters were totally up to date but I'm not going to worry about it. I don't know half the people in baseball anyway. I'm just gonna jump into the pennant fever mode and have fun. The game plays smooth to me.

              Candyman,

one thing I'm gonna do is try meter pitching. I've never tried it before and it looks like its modeled after MVP. Now if I can get thrown balls out of that, instead of everything being a strike.....I'll let you know.

That's probably good. I know the names of their wives, lol. (kidding)

Pratt, how are your pitch counts, ball to strike ratio when you pitch.

Some history to share. I bought MVP 2005 this year over MLB2K5 and MLB2006. I was really bored with the commentary and tired of the same old same old gameplay. I bought MLB2006 which was great, but the bugs wrecked the game for me. I was going to buy MLB2K5, but people were complaining by the truckloads about the bugs.

It appears as if a good number of the bugs have been fixed in this version. I will most likely do a roster update myself and not worry about attributes. When you mess with too many attributes you tend to throw off the balance in 2K games. Does the game run much smoother than the last version?

The editing and stuff is just like last years. I just don't want to go through that again. It's the same setup.

I have almost finished an update to my last ASB2k5 roster that I put out a couple months ago. Think I'll play with that for awhile. Sort of rostered out. If this one would have taken our old save rosters.......
If you check my signature below, I have spent the last 6 weeks updating NFL2K5 with weekly updates in the NFL2K5 Rosters Forum. I'm up to the challenge if the game is worth it.

I'm pitching with the strike zone off so I definately throw more balls now compared to the previous version. The ratio of balls and strikes I'm not sure about though. I did actually walk someone last game but it was only one person.

                          Jim;
Did they add a manage only mode for this edition?
That one poor guy keeps asking....and nobody is answering him! Ha!

I'll probably pick it up anyway...but I would love to play this game manage only mode.
