Re: POTD 2/14/06
I like the presentation in the game this year.
The batting animations look to be more of the same.
Ramirez doesn't look like him at all. The player models need more bulk.
Of all the vidoes so far I'm least impressed with this part of the game. Player models that is.
The throwing animations still bother me. I don't know what it is. It's the follow through on the trows that I don't like. Just not fluid and life like. 2K Sports should look at 989 Sports MLB at perfecting this.
Fiedling camera looks to have been zoomed back a bit. Much better perception of the outfield.
The commentary is top notch!
Looks more of the same, with added features like Inside Edge, and minor tweaks in the gameplay.
I'm going to give this a rental and wait for impressions. Or I might just wait for the next gen version of the game.Last edited by Peter_OS; 02-14-2006, 08:13 PM.Comment

Re: POTD 2/14/06
This looks much improved over last year. I like what I saw. I also liked what I heard, the P.A. guy announcing all the names with some flair. I could really see the momentum at work, especially when the yankee first baseman dove to make the play, ended up going after the ball and throwing twisting and moving backwards, that was nice. Did A-Rods homer hit off the facade? Any way, I think it looked really good. Throwing looked good too. The throw from the Yankee left fielder was a rope, that was nice to see.Comment

Re: POTD 2/14/06
I agree with you on presentation, animations and commentary. I do like how the catcher is calling the pitches. I am not sure if its a good thing or not that after a few pitches the pitchers stamina went down 5%
Overall it looks too much like last years (grfx/animations/player models) gameplay has to be really good to show improvement. I have liked MLB'06 videos better so far.Comment

Re: POTD 2/14/06
Man, this game looks very dissapointing. Still holding out hope that its early but thats not the case as of now. Nothing in game seems to flow, its very choppy. Then the batting animations...I have no comment on those, they speak for themselves. The bats look ridiculously long and unrealistic...I just dont know man, i'll fallback and wait for 360 movies before forcing myself to upgrade MVP.Comment

Re: POTD 2/14/06
Hmm, I actually thought it looked pretty good. The ball and player movement looked a lot more realistic, there were some good animations, and the hits seemed more realistic. Like Arod going the other way on that fastball. Hard to tell so far how improved it is, but last year it was almost like the hits were random. Crowd noise sounded better, but I wish they would cheer longer on homeruns.
I'm excited to see what they do with the 360 version.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
