    Clemens at 7th?

And why is Randy Johnson in the Top 10, he sucks.

Rain on a clear night? OOOOOKAY.

Oh well at least Roy Halladay is in the top ten but in RL he's better then some of those pitchers.

I really question John Smoltz at #2

            Terrible.

Ben Sheets in the high 20's? He should be in the top 10 easily.

            Contreras? Vasquez?

            Smoltz number 2?

I have respect for those guys, but the list is terrible.

Smoltz #2 and rated 98?? He was 14-7 last year. Talk about rating a guy based on his reputation... from a decade ago. These ratings are as bad a Madden's...

Johan's Change is an 84? What? No one else better have a change rated higher than that because he can yank the string.

I am happy that Smoltz is 2 and reputation has something to do with the rankings. You can't go year by year with pitchers or baseball players in general. Adrian Beltre ring a bell? 95 one year prob. should be 72 the next. Kerry Wood? You call for a 92 after his awesome young year? Then he performs at about 75 the next. For this I aplaud you 2k

I can't tell if that is sarcastic or not, but I think Randy Johnson sucks too, but his numbers from last year weren't as bad as I thought ...

Why are the stamina ratings over 100?

I'm digging Felix at 24, that'll make my Mariners dynasty pretty fun.

I wasn't being sarcastic, but if I didn't put that smiley in there people would think I'm another bitter and spoiled Yankee fan.

I was just disgusted by his post season display against the Angels last year. His final regular season stats weren't THAT bad, though his ERA was def too high. And then there's the 32 homers allowed. Yikes.

I understand this but shouldn't there be some accounting for Smoltz's age and general decline of his skills. Granted, this doesn't work for everybody (just look at Clemens) but I think that's a bit safer then ranking Smoltz the #2 pitcher in the game. I'm sure if you go to scouts and managers they wouldn't call Smoltz the 2nd best starter based on his stuff in the last couple or so years.

JOSH BECKETT IN FRONT OF CARLOS ZAMBRANO, JAKE PEAVY, TIM HUDSON and ANDY PETTITE. For a guy whos NEVER pitched 200 innings and whos entire repuatation is solely based on one playoff series (which was in 2003 not even last year), this is absurd. If youre gonna throw him up there, where is AJ Burnett or Kerry Wood, all promise that has never been fulfilled.

I think the problem with Smoltz is that they are giving him his closer stuff with his starter's endurance. When Smoltz was closing he was in the high 90s with an amazing slider and filthy splitter. As a starter, he's only throwing mid 90s, and the slider and splitter aren't as filthy, but the game is still giving him his closer stuff.
