I just got back from my local Gamestop and he said they are expecting the game on 3/21. I hope he's right.

was at Toys R Us today, and they have a display stand up saying MLB 2k6 available this March.

According to someone who works at gamestop on the 2K boards:

"I work at Gamestop and our computers dates have changed, It now says apr.10th for xbox and the 20th for the 360 as of today."

That would confirm what I heard at my local ebgames a few days ago.

when WSB launched on XBOX it was a MAY release.

i'd be ok with that for the 360 this time around

I just checked GameStop.com and EBGames.com, and they look exactly alike now! :y4:

Date still says 3/20. If the game doesn't come out then, then this is a f***ing joke. I was actually okay with the game coming out in late March. We've been spoiled with early release dates for video games recently. But having it come out in April just seems absurd.

The game might be great, but you've got to get the game out first. I'm probably more a fan of the 2k company (underdog ), but if the game is pushed back til April, they definitely will lose some respect with me.

The 360 version is now listed as 4/24/06. I can't say I'm shocked by this after all the delays of the college game and previous titles. I was hopeful it would come out on the 10th but I kind of expected a delay since most of their sports games all seem to get delayed or pushed back now. I love their games but their release dates are incredibly unreliable.

Sadly I doubt this delay will improve much. 2K seems to have a habit of delaying games and then still releasing them with terrible bugs/glitches.

I really wanted a baseball game close to opening day. Now it's delayed till the 24th. I'd be fine with that if I really thought that extra time would mean a better game for the consumer, but I doubt it (see college hoops game).

I hear ya. I am playing CH and have only seen 1 bug so far, but I read of the others and its not good. Well I will hope for the best or play The Show all summer long.

I was just at Toys R us and I could have sworn I saw the box behind the counter in the case with the rest of the games, PS2 version. I didn't ask about it because I'm waiting on the 360 version. I live in Boston, MA.

I know it said 2k6 because I did a triple take.
