What is this Major League Ballerina 2k6? Where do they come up with these fielding animations, this stuff never looks like this, not even close.

Just play the 360 version before you all complain, and if your not buying the 360 version, then just move on, thats how I see it. The guys that are complaing haven't even saw the 360 version up close, Yeah I'm sure the gameplay could use work but I'm sure the 360 version looks great. I don't wanna here people say it looks the same as the xbox version, because then you need glasses. I not worried, I will get the 360 version play it, and when people are waiting for the PS3 version of MLB, I will be looking forward to the next installment of MLB2k7, wich will be better and most likley be with someone else making it other then KUSH, I will bet on this.

One detail that's cool The Show included is if a player gets beaned in the head, they fall down face first into the ground and lie there until a basecoach runs over to help them up and see if they are alright. It's all about the little things, and 2k misses the mark completely.

                1. David Ortiz looks like he's 180 lbs. Minor gripe, but it does look bad.

                2. When has a Catcher ever FLOWN backwards 5 yards in the air after a collision at the plate? Just plain ugly.

                3. Groundball to the 3B who goes to turn the double play and does a jump spin off the wrong foot as he throws to 2B. First, if the 3B has to do a jump spin and can't set his feet, they aren't going to get the double play. Second, it's off the wrong foot and looks awkward.

                4. The swing animations look better. Why? Because they cut away as soon as the hitter makes contact. Kind of odd looking on some of those videos.

With that said, I'm more interested in the gameplay aspects. Can't tell much from the videos though.

I'm just not overly impressed with some of those animations. And to think, fielding animations was something 2K specifically stated they were overhauling on the 360 version.
Good call on that swing clip. You are so right it does pan out! lol

Who let the air out of Ortiz? The guy is a toothpick.

                  Video 2:

That was the gayest double play display in the history of baseball! What is with all the jumping?

To me the game looks like it plays smoother from the catcher's view for hitting and pitching instead of from behind the pitcher.

The batter who got hit by the pitch started to go to first and just stood there until the camera panned away.

One irritating thing to me is that the batters are always in their stance and look like statues. They never stretch or move around after a pitch.

It does not matter that these guys playing are good or bad, this game is not going to be stellar and it is totally obvious. It looks like 2K fell down running out of the batter's box with its debut of exclusivity. End result, we lose!
I know this came from page 5 but I agree with you.Especially "It looks like 2K fell down running out of the batters box with its debut of exclusivity.End result, we lose!"

I know I was kinda joking, but it probably has those colors. I just don't like the animation is. I will give it a try like Football said, but I am not expecting much! Also, I remember years ago this game didn't have player scaling, so maybe they don't have it this year!

It's strange... they have Player Height, and individual body parts can increase or decrease. But, if you try and change the weight, they won't get any fatter or skinnier. I think they really need this part of it. Then the individual parts could be for bulkiness or just skin and bone/flab or whatever.

At the same time, if this game was just for Xbox and PS2, I'd assume that we would have seen a little more efforts out of those versions. I think that most of their resources with developers and such was spent on building the 360 version.

Thank you! That drove me so nuts in last year's game that I never pitched from my favorite behind-the-pitcher view. Have the designers never been to a baseball game or seen one on TV?

I just have to say the Kush guys must have EXTREMELY limited resources. Every year, it's the exact same crap. Zito looks looks like he was motion-captured by a righty pretending to throw left. Was it even motion captured at all? Maybe they just drew the animations by hand. Maybe EA, as big as they are, have the only decent motion-capture studio on the continent.

But that's just one complaint. People keep making excuses for this franchise, but there's no reason for it. EA had no problem making a great game in just two years. It CAN be done. We should be holding 2K Sports to a higher standard, especially considering they're our only source for a baseball video game. If they have the resources to secure the exclusive license, then they have the resources to develop a DECENT GAME. I don't understand how so many of you can keep giving them a pass.

Wow the only people(including you I would assume) say this stuff is because it's all or nothing for 360 baseball this year, so games that would sell maybe 50,000 get spotlight treatment.

I don't like to see this series in this state don't get me wrong(loved lots of WSB games), but now they got the liscence there is zero tolerance for some of the things plauging the game.

You don't have to play every game that comes out to tell if it's worthwhile. Did you play the DC versions ? I sure as hell hope not lol. $65 is not something I'd take lightly, at all. Not everyone sold off their collection for a 360, so if this game looks off they'll simply go back to MVP/The show.
