For the love of all that is good and holy do NOT... I repeat, do NOT do that. My stomach is already twisting from this freeze stuff (and mine works after a format)... I don't need to lose my recently scarfed down lunch.

Makes you wonder why Top Spin 2 doesnt have replays... As its the only reliable 2k game out there.

Oblivion - Cache issue
NBA2k6-Freezing
NCAA-Freezing
MLB-Freezing

To many telling signs.

Don't forget that NHL also freezes.

Since most people believe the game only freezes after the machine has been turned off and then booted back up again, I wonder if there are no MLB2K6 saves on the HD if it will still lock up? A possible temp. solution might be to erase everything MLB2k6 on the HD and just save to a memory card (if you have one).

I really dont want to reformat and have to burn all my music to the HD again. (not to mention the demos I have downloaded.)

Froze on me first game out of the box. I dont think the freezing after being turned off the first time is the only problem.

i'm tired of hearing this. of COURSE they test it, and of COURSE it wasn't locking up like this during testing.

Why are you tired of hearing this? Do you work for 2k? And how do know they definitly test it? and how do you know it wasnt locking up during testing? Do you work for 2k?

Unless the game is tested in a secret vault, under top secret conditions you mean to tell me no one took it (snuck the top secret game) home and played it on their 360 during all of this?

I would've thought that they didn't even need to sneak it out. Wouldn't you test it in "real world conditions" at your home before shipping it? For network lag, etc?

Agreed. How notta one person in management or whomever checks in with the developers to ask, hey let me see how the game is looking. Looks like crap, you need to rework that whatever it is. Good gracious.

Anybody had this glitch:

I saved a game after the 5th inning to my Hd and when I came back later to finish the game, some of my players (Cubs) had their glove in the wrong hand. They were cathing the ball with their bare hand and throwing with their hand with the glove on. In addition, Petite (astros pither) was pitching with his left hand (what he usually does) but the left hand had his glove on.

That's what i did, and have had no freezes. However, the rosters are messed up and the Ai teams keep putting leadoff guys in their 3 hole and rookies in the cleanup spot. Just ridiculous.

Once and for all: a retail 360 cannot play burned copies of a game.

Just had my first freeze, but it was in the 8th inning. I don't believe I have the same problems as everyone else. I had just played a couple games and got into the 4th and 6th before having to turn the game off those times due to unrelated issues. When the game is freezing, what are people seeing on the screen? Just frozen picture of the game, or something else? Mine froze, and I got like bright yellow pinstripes across my screen. It might have actually been due to overheating on my 360 though. Who knows. Thank god these people at least put the in-game save in. I am going to use that every inning.
