Yes, and I talked with tech support.

Your VIP is named the same as your Gamertag? That's the issue. Delete the VIP, and create one with a name that doesn't match your gamertag.

This does not fix all freezes, just that specific one.

How will this affect our achievements that we need unlock?

I don't have a VIP with the same name as my gamer tag, and it still locked up! Not the solution in my book.

Man, crashes in any game are unacceptable. I haven't had any but I can certainly believe that other people are getting them. A lot of the heat this game is taking is unwarranted IMO but crashes are !@#$#$%.

I'm wondering if its the roster update when i first got the game i didn't update the rosters from xboxlive and it did not freeze.But when i downloaded the roster update and loaded it to use to play a game it froze on me while i was playing this happened twice

well it hadnt until just now. Had gone about 5 games without an issue. It was the 5th inning, and it froze as I brought in a reliever.

yes, almost every time i play a game....anywhere from the 2nd to 4th inning. IT sucks ..imma return it for another copy tomorrow hopefully it works better.

It's not the disc..

it freezes offline for me but i played 3 full games so far online which is what im gonna be on mostly anyway

has anyone tried to turn the cutscenes off?? can you even do that?? mine only freezes during cutscenes...so im thinking thats the problem.

Your VIP has nothing to do with Achievements. The VIP is only for earning tokens for The Skybox and stuff like that, and has no connection to Xbox Live or anything.

To the point, I've had no problem, but I also haven't tried to start up a game after turning off the system.

well im definitely thinking it has something to do with turning off the system. i played 8.5 games today without a single problem. i shut it off to go eat some dinner and then i came back to play and i havent made it past the 5th inning since. this sucks!

sooooooo, anyone have any advice? i mean should i return this for another disc? seems chances are 50 50 that it will still freeze after i get another game, will 2k recall or something? i never had a problem with a game till now and im sorry but the games not worth 2,3, or 4 returns id either want to return it and have the game play or get my money back and buy battlefield....

its true, the first game i played through without issue, without any saves or profiles. I turn off the xbox for a few hours then come back to play another game, now NOTHING BUT FREEZES!!!!! The game must put some sort of hidden files on your harddrive or something that corrupts the game. I paid $70 for a game that's unplayable. I paid $38 for The Show on PS2 and it's twice the game MLB2k6 is and has never frozen. The only problem with The Show is it looks outdated and so last gen. But The Show is very deep and plays pretty well.

I played 2 games and no crashes during the games...but I crash when I try to go to the Xbox LIve section. It tells me that it is unable to load my profile and locks up. Anyone else have this problem?

The same thing happened to me.
