    I've played about 4-5 full games, no freezes whatsoever.

        The freezes start after when you boot up the game after the 1st time. I had no freezes last night now I need to change my vote.

            I think you hit the nail right on the head i had no problems when i first started to play as soon as i shut off the system bam the freezing started.At first i thought it was the new rosters(well 3/22) that were on Xbox Live but that wasn't it.I'm pretty sure this is the problem they better have a work around or a patch soon(like yesterday)

                Well, im not very optimistic. Although Tomb Raider already as a patch ready to go for 360 and its not even in stores yet.

                Other then your VIP does anything else autoload.

                    well i knew it wasnt the online rosters. i can play online games without a problem. i just cant play offline at all.

                        Well that doesnt sound good. I WAS really looking forward to playing when I got home from work today. Seems like I should expect a crash in my future.

                            when you first play the game it will work , AFTER you turn the xbox off and try again, you're screwed.

                                    Yeah i was thinking the same thing but i don't know if i'm going to format my drive i may just take it out and than save on the memory card.But just to add this is BS we have to do this to play the game

                                        Ok I think the bug could be due to using the same VIP profile name for 2k sports games.

                                        I have the same profile name for NBA CH and MLB. I'm going to delete them all and see what happens.

                                            its not profile, or vip related, the game puts some corrupting files on your harddrive after your first game then screws you over and laughs. It's like someone planted a virus in the game.

                                                Not yet, hopefully it stays that way. I downloaded the roster update and played with no problems. I can't remember whether I ever tuned it off and back on again to play. Crap, now I'm almost expecting a freeze next time I play.

                                                    Do you have any proof of this? VIP seems to be the problem because thats the only thing that loads on start up.

                                                    I deleted all my 2k sports profiles and havent had freezes since in the 7th inning now.

                                                            Not true. I played 2 games when I got home with it yesterday, no freezes. Turned it off, played again about 3 hours later, put it a few more games, no freezes. Not to say I won't get one today, but I haven't yet (knock on wood) and I have turned the game on twice.
