In most cases i have done it and haven't had any problems but some people have done it and the are still getting freezing problems

If you buy a memory card and unplug your harddrive when you play, you should be good. You don't have to reformat your harddrive. At least it's worked for me.

The thing is I think they will have a patch since they said they would, If they don't all stores would be forced to take it back as it does not work as advetised.

As I expected, it takes a few weeks for microsoft to approve any patch to be distributed, and we don't even know if a patch is finished yet.

If you buy a memory card and unplug your harddrive when you play, you should be good. You don't have to reformat your harddrive. At least it's worked for me.

This is not what people should have to do.

Everyone should return the game, get your money back, and then only let them have it again when they have in fact patched it and backed up their claims.

Keeping a product that is defective and losing value by the week while clinging to the hope that a patch will arrive "in the near future" seems silly to me.

Return the game while you can, get a full refund, and make the creators of the game legitimately earn their money.

I took it back to the store and made an even trade for GRAW last Friday. No way I was holding on to this broken game. I'm glad I did it because I'd still be waiting for a fix (one that doesn't involve me buying a memory card and removing a HD that I paid $100 for). That's completely unacceptable. I shouldn't be putting more effort into making the game work than they made developing the game.

Check this out!! My friend also has mlb 2K6 and his works with HDD. I brought my game that doesnt work with my HDD over his house. It works with his, but not with mine. Weird!!

From reading this post and posts like it to me it seems pretty obvious that there is some sort of file that when it is on the hard drive causes MLB to freeze. If you have the file on yours then it freezes, take it to your friends and it doesn't freeze because he doesn't have the file on his.

Not sure what the file would be but my bet is on another 2K sports game since that's probably the only game that this game would be reading and "trying to figure out".

So my question would be, what 2K sports games do you have and what ones does your friend have?

Btw - I've played about 10 games without a freeze and I own every 2K sports game there is on the 360.

It might have something to do with the VIP (as I assume both are different for all 3 games) or section of the HD that save files were saved to.

It's a sticky situation because there are a ton of variables that could come into play.

Well first off my games freeze. But, when i go to game history to check back on certain plays, it says to push "A" to view a replay. I do and nothing happens. Keep in mind this is with the HDD in. Anyone else having this problem?
