Well look everyone it's Charlie Daniels.

You just keep scoring 90+ on the CPU and crying about. If you ever need another thumping you have my Gamertag. The sad part is you were the one bragging about how good you are in a game, got put on the spot and then got not only your tail spanked but I held you the half of your average using the exact same settings.

This is why all sports games need to be on XBL and hopefully next years baseball games will have it. It shuts up a % the people who always claim amazing feats.

I really umm..uhh.. think All-Star baseball is the best!?

My ONE reason is this:

on all-star difficulty, the fastballs come in so fast you barely have a split-millisecond to hit it. Some people have said it's too difficult but isn't that the point? Randy Johnson's fastball is SUPPOSED to be hard to hit, right? Oh HELL yeah it's f'n frustrating but I love it. The increase in heart rate you experience when facing a fresh, fire-ballin' releiver after 6 2/3's of breaking balls has got to be the closest representation of a hitters mentality in any baseball game. Plus, whiffing a change-up isn't supposed to a matter of depth-perception but a matter of fastball anticipation. These murderous fastballs set up your anticipation, forcing you to read into tendacies and pitch counts.

Sadly, this sick-*** speed hath spoiled me, and as much as I would like to give these other games a chance, for me everything else seems terribly slow.

Everything else in ASB is fairly average, although I do like a couple of little things:
1. when you decide to take two bags and input the next base on the controller ( ie. 1st to 3rd ), the player takes a nice wide path around the bag.
2. Practice swing animation. Not just pre-pitch regular swings but real practice swings( Don't know why I like this so much )
3. The fact that you can see the pitcher warming up in the pen all the way from the batters box.

Graphics-wise I gave the edge to WSB though the ASB graphics seemed a little more realistic (check the screenshots their models are stiff but damn-near photorealistic.)

HH fans tend to bash "icon" hitting, but "general vecinity" hitting isn't really my cup of tea. I must admit though i was starting to feel it a little before a horrible slide animation prompted me to seek refundage.

Bottom line.. Baseball fans will have plenty to celebrate this season with possibly 5 good titles.
