Reyes part was the best. Loved how he actually strided to 2nd.

Also, Blzer...Thats Juan Pierre, not Lofton.

Gah, did I say Lofton!? My bad. Completely unintentional. I knew who it was... just said the wrong name.

I agree with EG. Swing animations look pretty similar to last year's 360 version to me.

To be honest, it's pretty tough to get any sort of gauge on this game from a canned video. I'd much rather see a live game being played by 2 people or 1 person against the CPU.

I hope 2K does what EA did with MVP. Close to release date they released a full 9 inning game. It really showed a lot about the game.

I like what I just saw. Swing Animations look better than before. The graphics even on Low Res Video look fantastic. I really wish they would do something with the uniforms. If they are gonna talk about being as AUTHENTIC as possible, they need to fix the uniforms. The lettering & the #'s look bad. The Player Models look spot-on for the 1st time in the series..

On teams where the jersey does not have the letters on the back, the numbers are a little lower than normal. The Yankees home jersey has the logos switched up. Other than those graphical boo-boos, this game is looking sharp this year, and seeing as this is the only game that will be out on the X360, I have high hopes.

Agreed- the fielders actually resemble humans in their throwing animations!

Gameplay needs to take a huge leap.

Yeesh, the player models have been terrible for years. I'm excited they finally have finally made progress here. I will admit that I miss the "burn-victim" look of previous years.

I've never liked the 2k player models, but these look great.

Its tough to judge much from the short video but the pitching and throwing animations looked much better than last years. I thought the pitching animations were horrible last year. The swing animation still looks a little off but its tough to tell with the shots they gave us. MVP had the bat/ball contact down perfectly 2-3 years ago. Hopefully 2k made some progress in that area.

The view of that park and the birds flying get my heart pumping. I'm not even a big baseball fan of the sorts but it reminds me of the vastness that EA does with their stadiums in Live. Makes it feel like it's a real world kind of thing. Back catcher threw the ball all to familiar to what was in previous versions which is a hurter; the open hand toss. The jerseys look good on some and kind of weird on others. Why aren't developers too keen on putting in fat guys in sports games?? Almost like it's too hard or something. And with the hitting, the players front foot doesn't open up enough just yet. Saw that with the Jeter hit.

I think the player models were just too freaking shiny in the previous versions. The light reflects too weird or something making them look unrealistic. This does catch the eye so much more though. I can't wait til thi game comes out.

I forget, but were in-game scoreboards live in years past? Or were they static?

Because if you look in the background of this screenshot:

You can see it say "D. Roberts" with a 0 - 0 count and no outs. Assuming they instantly started a game to take this screenshot, this is what you see, as the Dodgers are playing the Giants. So, if this is new, that is another great thing.

I can't wait to see some night shots!

                            Honestly I'm totally impressed!
Leaps & bounds better than last year! I think ASB is starting to fade in my memory just a bit...At least at this visual level.

I'm telling you it's getting so life-like..I had to blink a few times cause I thought I was watching the real thing! I believe that if the game play reaches the level of these visuals we are in for a treat! Wow!

                            March 5th, where are you...

I'm impressed but it's a trailer. I can never get too hyped up over a trailer. I've done it before, only to be let down. Until I see gameplay, I won't get too excited yet. Still, looking good.

The players don't just look good in MLB 2K7; thanks to the game's signature style animations, the players move well too. Fans of 2K Sports' NBA 2K7 might remember the signature style animation that seeks to re-create the kinetic quirks of real hoops pros as accurately as possible--the same thing will be happening in MLB 2K7. Be it Dontrelle Willis' pitching motion or Nomar Garciaparra's obsessive-compulsive batting ritual, MLB 2K7's 150-plus player-specific animations will look to bring that much more authenticity to the game's look.

That paragraph seriously caught my attention. I'm a sucker for the signature animation stuff, so 2K has finally reeled me in.... at least for now. I really like what I see from the teaser video, but as Blzer & some others have mentioned the swings are still lacking. Although, it could be that they have personalized swings & follow throughs for the top players, which would definitely make me happy. With all the great improvements they've made visually, I'm hopeful that the gameplay is vastly improved as well.

But any way you look at it, this is a very promising glimpse of what is surely going to be the most exciting yr ever for videogame baseball fans.
