Amen. Until they are all out, who's to say which one is "best".

One thing is ceratin; this shoudl be the best year in the history of baseball videogaming. It would appear there are at least 4 legitimate and viable options and all of them look promising.

Couldn't agree more. Best thing is, every title has something different to offer, from High Heat's incredible realism to ASB's features, to WSB's stunning graphics (IMO, it also should have excellent gameplay as well), to Slugfest's over the top gameplay, to a new series in MVP Baseball, this year should be incredible. I am stoked as well.

That's all fine and dandy, but to my knowledge, there has never been a "game of the year" award handed out based on a PR sheet and a few screens and movies.

There is no need for a "best game of the year after what we know so far". It is the height of tedium, and we all know what we are going to be subjected to on a daily basis once the baseball games start rolling out. The great baseball game war of 2003 is on the horizon here, so there will be plenty of time for that nonsense in a month or two. Until then, how about keeping things on a tangible level.

Graphics are so over!rated!

High Heat was much much more fun to play against your friend than ASB.

and High Heat 2003's graphics on PS2 weren't pretty but they never stoped me from playing the best Baseball game on PS2

Even though it only managed a 10th of a point it still was the top game. all the rest of these games are on the same console minus sony's game and I don't see them covering them with the same zest.

I own WSB and WSB2 for the Saturn and that's a crock of doo doo. I played better baseball games on the PS1.

IGN has been on WSB's jock for 2 years now. Hil Goldstein (IGN reviewer) had me thinking WSB was the game of all games last year...then I bought it. It fell short of my expectations. Don't get me wrong, Its a very nice game but IGN had me waiting for the 2nd coming.

IGN has always dissapointed me when it comes to games. I think im gonna spend more time myself this year and play them all instead of listening to their opinions.
