I dont understand either..this feature was in Tecmo Super Bowl.
In the past two years 'fan friendly' 2K has removed the following features from their MLB series: classic pitching; effort pitching; meter pitching; zone hitting; cursor hitting; two-button hitting; ability to control all teams; ability to edit in franchise; ability to use other stadiums in franchise...

These games are being 'reduced' because the emphasis these days is on online play and 'graphics'. That's what sells. It's no longer about giving the gamer what he/she wants - even with 2K games.

      Sad but seemingly true.

Re: How many teams can you control?

Well I have been in military training for the last 16 days I was hoping to come back and see that one of these games had full control of teams. BAM once again the Show lied again. They said last year on their forum that they would put that in.Well they have not. Me and you Incil talked about this about a month ago or so. Guess they dropped the ball again. I am going back to 2k this year because we can control at least 4 teams, its better then 2 thats for sure. Bring back HH..This 4 or 2 team is BS, I know some of you could care less but some of us do..I could care less about online but I dont say anything. Its all about realism for some of us. CPU teams trading sucks.Let me get this straight. We control 4 teams I understand that. Can we control trades and call ups for the other teams at least?

Can we at least sim the games we cant control? What I mean is if one of our teams is not playing can we sim the game to make sure the correct team wins that game.I like to have the real records of the teams throughout?

Re: How many teams can you control?

Just got the following email from Christian Scatena at 2K Sports:

"The user(s) can control up to 4 teams at once in season and franchise modes. The user does not have the ability to manage the roster for non-user controlled teams during the course of the season in a Season or Franchise mode. The user can turn an option to force trades, however, and by doing so when they start the season they can use this option to make sure that their controlled team(s) are able to make any trades that may have happened during roster updates."

Can anyone explain how to FORCE TRADES between non-user controlled teams?

            Thanks!

Re: How many teams can you control?

                V419R,

I think what that allows you to do is force a trade. For example, if you control

                SD
                SF
                LA
                AZ

you can make trades for those teams without regard to player value, and you can force a trade. Let's say CWS trade player to the Cubs. You can, for example trade a SD player to the CWS for the player, then trade him to the Cubs for the other player involved in the trade, then trade that Cub player to the CWS for your SD player.

I'm absolutely sure it will mess up the lineups though.

Makes it just fantasy baseball. I feel the same way. If can't keep the trades, call ups/send downs current on a daily basis, then it's just not the same. I'm not into the fantasy trades and such, so.........I"ll get the game, I'm sure, but not play it as my major game.

Yup, I'm pulling my hair out screaming "why?"

Forced trades is only good to me if I can make any given 2 teams who I am NOT controlling trade who and when I want. I don't want to have to make these forced trades happen by using my team as a conduit, as jim suggested.

Four teams IS better than 2, but only if the gameplay holds up.

I wonder if SCEA is planning full team (not just roster) control for the PS3 version. Wait - don't answer that...it's the wrong forum for the question.

I won't answer it because it's in the wrong forum, but I heard that it is in the PS3 game, but remember, I can't answer that here, so it's not an answer.
