Re: Too many HR's on All-Star (360)
I two-hit the Braves over 7 innings the other day with Glavine, Sanchez gave up a 2 run HR in the 8th though. Glavine's line 7 IP, 2 H, 4 Ks
Somehow, I pitched worse with Santana against the Mariners (7 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 9 Ks)
Both on All-Star.

Re: Too many HR's on All-Star (360)
As challenging as it is to pitch, I had a no hitter going through the 7th with Justin Verlander (Detroit). However, I decided it was best to take him out of the game because his stuff was getting weak. I didn't want to risk blowing the game. Then again, maybe I should have tried for the no-hitter...since it's probably a secret acheivement or something.Comment

I think that HRs are a little high and will probably adjust the sliders a bit to deal with it. I do like that you pay for it if you miss your spot on a pitch, though. I was really dialed in on a game against the Cardinals and was pitching a shutout in the 5th until I missed my target against Pujols and he went yard on me. That's as it should be.Comment

Re: Too many HR's on All-Star (360)
It seems like this game REALLY makes you pay for missing your timing on pitching. That's been my experience anyway. If I time my pitches right on the nose and you hear that little noise when you hit the A button, seems to me that the CPU won't have such an easy time putting a lot of ummph on the ball.
Don't let the pitching meter get large enough to shake your controller, unless you are looking to put some extra "uumph" into a pitch to earn a strikeout. You will find that the CPU will hit less homers and not hit the ball as consistently.Comment

Theres a call game rating, It could be due to the fact your catcher is a moron. I had to get rid of Barrett cause his call game was a C."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

Re: Too many HR's on All-Star (360)
In 2k6 (online), when you heard the "noise", the batter couldn't pick up your pitch with the hitter's eye even if the eye was placed correctly. I'm assuming this is the same in 2k7 (both online and against the CPU). If a batter uses the hitter's eye to guess a pitch's location correctly, they get a contact/power boost.

Re: Too many HR's on All-Star (360)
i am experiencing the same thing on all star...i haven't struck out a single batter and i am painting the corners and throwing pitches out of the strikezone...i have not played one game where i have not let up less than 7 homeruns...i get killed every game from start to finish...i am hitting my spots too...i hear that ping and then boom gone...its almost like hitting my spot perfectly on a great pitcher's pitch means automatic hr for the computer...i get more batters out when i miss my spot (not kidding...i actually tried to miss my spot on purpose and was getting ground ball outs)...frustrating considering the rest of this game is pretty solid (fielding needs some work but for the most part doable considering we have been told (i think) that that will be the year 2 focus). Thanks for letting me vent. at least i am not alone on this one.Comment

It also makes you think twice about trotting your starter out there for one more inning, as opposed to going to the bullpen. In the past, baseball video games didn't really ever make you pay for going with your starter for too long. This one does...in a huge way. I like it too.
Thats true.. from my own past play time with baseball videogames..you could get by with keeping your pitcher in but with this game..it "almost' Forces you to work your bullpen..which is a good thing..You win some, you lose some
