Listen, I'm new to these boards, so I will try to remain respectful, but I honestly don't understand what everyone sees in HH. I work in a store that sells video games. We sell used copies as well. Yesterday, amidst all this talk of how great HH is, I put in last years game and watched the CPU play against itself. What I saw was very disappointing graphics. Ho-hum animations, and very stupid A.I. I guess what I am ultimately saying is, nothing about HH stands out as anything special. This year, I'm buying ASB new (I happen to enjoy cursor style batting) , and I will pick up a used copy of WSB when it is traded into my store. Could someone please be a salesman and pitch (no pun intended) HH to me. I don't get it.

about asb most people are sick of cursors. WSB2K3 has the opition of having a cursor on or off(there are 2 other opitions 1 is timed hitting which is what HH is like and some power opition which I dont understand much yet), I will be using timed hitting(no cursor) in wsb2k3.

HH has the best gameplay, everyone who previews it and reviews it say it has the best overall gameplay.

The game I watched had three walks and the teams combined for 13 runs.
And the stupid A.I. was the defense. More times than I can actually remember, the defense threw to the wrong base, or the throw was cut off and held onto when there was clearly a chance to throw the runner out with a relay throw.

And by the way I asked for some info on what makes HH a great game in the eyes of those who love it, not an attitude.

here's my attempt (i don't love the game though)

its a baseball game that relies HEAVILY on a stats-based engine.

so the results come out to a game that is realistic....whatever that is nowadays

I dont think you can make a very fair judgement just from watching the game. Try playing about 5 games and I think youll find how realistic it plays.

And I find the AI in HH one of the best ive seen in any sports game. Definately the best AI of the basball games last year and probably in my top 3 for all sports games.
