No updates...no sign of Kushgamer. Can't be good. My guess is we won't get it...for whatever reason. Looks like all we can do is wait for March 2008 for new game. Or "upgrade" to a 360.

I'd still rather stick with the PS3 since its got a bigger selection of sports games. It'd be nice if 2K would make it up to PS3 owners next yr by making the PS3 version superior in some way. Afterall the 360 version of 2K7 was quite a bit better than ours, due to the player self-shadowing & patch update.
We'll see what they manage to squeeze onto those Blue-Ray (25GB) discs for 2K8.

Maybe someone could email Grace Chen at Sony. Since she does the update blog for the Playstation store maybe she could give us some insight onto the whereabouts of the ps3 patch.

I can't find a direct E-mail address for her either. But I did send a message through the site contact form. So maybe they'll respond if they know anything about it.

I'm not even gonna try and give you guys a date or an approximate date, all I will say is that I do believe that it is still going to get out there at some point.

I'm sure most of you guys have given up by now, and i dont blame you.

Thanks for keeping our hopes alive somewhat & Like I said before its better late than never. I'm not going to be getting rid of 2K7 anytime soon. So if it does eventually get released in the next month or so, I'll download it for sure. Unfortunately some of the other guys on here probably don't feel the same way.

Played a great game of MLB2k7 - so as far as I am concerned a patch really isnt necessary, unless it "ups" the foul balls & pitch count.

KushGamer if you wanna give any info on what the patch fixes/enhances that would be ok.

He didn't mean the patch was released/updated...he just meant that he had more info he could not tell us about.

Same old same old...no patch. No love for the PS3 owners...whether Kush or Sony's fault. Who cares? As consumers we didn't get what others did (360).

No big deal really...but they shouldn't tickle you only to not deliver.

Yep...in fact...sold my PS3 on Craigslist and went out and got a 360 Elite...enjoying 2K7 on the 360 now...

Can't say to be honest as I did not play it much on the PS3. But the gameplay does seem tighter...there is a new camera that makes fielding easier. Things just feel a bit more tightened up in general. There is another thread here someplace that details what people think about the gameplay, etc. post-patch...the hardcore players...

i recently moved from an apartment to a house...so since the ps3 wasn't hooked up for a while i wasn't thinking about it...but now we're moved and i had a chance to think about it again...yeah, it's safe to say now...i've given up. i with kushgamer would provide another update..but i bet there is no change in the status of the patch since the last update...ah well, if 2k8 for ps3 is 60 fps, has self shadowing, supports 720p and 1080i/p, plays significantly better than 2k7, i'll probably forget about 2k7 and this patch stuff altogether after the first pitch of 2k8.

side note: isn't it torture to come to this thread, see "PS3 Patch Update" highlighed bold and the result is always someone asking about the patch instead of someone saying the patch is available..why do i torture myself...litterally (i just posted)

Reading the PS Store updates on Sony and ran across this,

"When a game is published by SCEA first, SCEE and SCEI get the first dibs on whether it comes to their respective region. All SCEI has to do is translate their games to Japanese, while SCEE has to translate their games into multiple languages manually."

Could this be why we are waiting so long? Because the other regoins have to translate or something else to the patch? I wouldnt think this would be the case but you know Europe and Japan (mostly) probably doesnt care about a US Baseball game.
