Re: Whats in part 2 of the 3 year plan?
Year One was gameplay. Improve the pitching, hitting, and fielding. Year Two is supposed to be (I think) franchise. They are putting the focus on being the GM, so you will have to manage your minor leagues, etc. They are also working on the fielding some more. -

If hitting isn't on MVP 05 level this yea I'll be highly pissed. No reason this game shouldnt have a realistic hitting model.Comment

Re: Whats in part 2 of the 3 year plan?
I don't see why people think MVP 05 was the benchmark for hitting. Granted the overall gameplay/franchise depth was AMAZING. However, I found the hitting to be the weakest gameplay aspect as far as bringing a semi-realistic approach to the game of baseball.
I don't think anything but a swingstick should be used just because it actually takes a bit of a learning curve and even when you've used it for months on end can still pose a challenge unlike classic (where you almost ALWAYS have to bring in house rules in order to stop yourself from jackin homeruns left n right).
I hope they add in a analog control system for throwing (like in EA's NCAA series). I find it a LOT more enjoyable than just tapping a button. I would also like to see a better pitching mechanic that actually makes you work to get strikes instead of having to force yourself to throw outside the zone.Comment

Re: Whats in part 2 of the 3 year plan?
Besides the obvious gameplay work, I'd like to see the signature style animations doubled for 2K8.
They also need to get the PS3 version looking graphically as good if not better than the 360 this time around.Last edited by ericjwm; 10-24-2007, 09:26 PM.Comment

Re: Whats in part 2 of the 3 year plan?
first off i'd like to see more interaction in the stands, you know like more guys going for hotdogs and beer, stuff like that, then if they have time they could fix the pitching in this game so that it might actually be possible to throw a ball when trying to throw a strikeComment

Re: Whats in part 2 of the 3 year plan?
I'm sorry but if you think the hitting was good, good for you, but there was no challenge. even with house rules, no pushing up on the left stick to not hit homers. Cmon, they have to install a hitting interface like high heat or power pro. Pitching needs to be more challenging, no walks in all the games I played. I am not perfect at this game but it is a long way from good. Graphics is great but I have not played this game since I got mlb the show and now power pro.Comment

I think that the classic system might be a little to easy, but I also hated swing stick. I think it would be better if you didn't have to step first.Comment

Zone hitting FTW
Or a perfect cursor system. Yes, better than Power Pros... only on how foul balls and ground ball/fly ball tendencies are implemented.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
