Re: Well...MLB2k8 is up next.
I would like someone to find out if they plan on to work on the online leagues? What I mean is fix the sliders where they actually work for 1. Secondly it would be nice if you could have 40 man rosters for your leagues online or atleast be able to call guys up from the minors. 3. Maybe have more collisions in the game running to first base instead of running thru the defender maybe have a collision. The same for second base where you actually take out the second baseman at times. I didnt play much offline like i did in past years since i started running MLB 2K7 Leagues and I really get into and make them very realistic. I really hope its not the same old leagues online that maybe we actually have more to work with online for us league guys. I never play in the online regualr lobby because of cheaters so I really depend on putting togeather the BEST MLB league possible. If 2k would just listen to our wants and needs the online play would be incredible.

Just send me a PM when you want the Q/A thread to start. I'm sure there will be many questions so I don't want to start it too early.
Thanks!Comment

i like john and joe but i feel their to boribg at times. it feels like there sipping tea just relaxing somewhere. I think they should get someone else from the majors that has more fire and will kind if hype u up.NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.Comment

John and Joe just can't put in the time necessary to keep the dialog fresh..
I like them, but after the third game your ready to turn the audio off, too repetitious...
I think they should get two actors who sound like them, to fill in the needed dialog, or replace them with people who can offer a total commitment...

Re: Well...MLB2k8 is up next.
I just want an improved hitting/pitching model. I mentioned it in another thread, but I'm not a fan of pressing up for flyball, down for groundball. I loved ESPN MLB 2K4's 360 degree zone hitting approach.
My problem with pitching is much smaller. I hate how pitchers lose velocity by 5-8 MPH the longer they are in a game or the more pitches they have thrown. That's not very accurate IMO. I can't think of any pitchers in MLB where that happens. MLB pitchers are pretty consistent throughout a game aside from when they take a little off a pitch intentionally.
I doubt my 2 issues will be fixed, but I can hope! 60FPS is great news. That should fix the stuttering that was prevalent in last year's game. The graphics were great so I have no complaints there. Hopefully the fielding will also get fixed and the gameplay tightened.
Very cool.Comment

Hopefully they also implement a throw meter this year. Like MVP had. I loved that.Comment

Re: Well...MLB2k8 is up next.
Agreed on pitching. The Show has it down IMO. When pitching with guys who lack control in the show, even if you hit the bar dead on for accuracy, you aren't too likely to hit that exact spot each time. In MLB2k7, if you want to paint corners all day with guys like Oliver Perez, all you had to do was get the timing of the "meter" down and you hit THAT spot every time. And the zone pitching option wasn't that good either, as the meter took up the whole damn screen.Comment

Re: Well...MLB2k8 is up next.
I like the current pitching interface, I just hate how every pitcher loses velocity as the game progresses. That doesn't happen in the majors. Obviously pitchers get tired as the game goes on, but rarely does their velocity drop 5+ MPH due to it. It's even worse with closers in this game. A closer will throw 15-20+ pitches and they start losing velocity.Comment

Re: Well...MLB2k8 is up next.
i always thought a pitching interface designed like the batting interface....
accurate pitchers have a small circle (white shading like the batter guess pitch) and when you throw....then that pitch ends up somewhere inside that small white circle
THEN...with an in-accurate pitcher have that circle be large...pick your spot and the pitch will end up within that circle
like batting...the circle-size would be dependent on:
*pitcher accuracy rating
*fatigue levels
*situation (in- game AND season..some nights are better than others type thing)
***AND individual pitch too (ie...schilling locates with the FB but not the change-up so even schill would have diff sized circles based on his pitch arsenal)
yes/no?Bummed that you're not on my ignore list yet?.....Don't worry, I'm sure you will be very soon.Comment

Another thing that they need to fix and maybe its just me..........but some pitchers get stronger as a game goes on especially with a lot more riding on the line (playoffs, division clinching game, etc.). While I had the game, maybe this was fixed later on, some pitchers should start getting stronger and their stamina goes up.Comment
