If 2k doesnt have season mode control all teams I may buy a ps3 if the shows season mode has control all teams ? Can anyone answer if it has this option.
    Thanks in advance

we know as much as you do in regards to that...and hopefully it does have maximum user control...we'll see. dmb is going to be at the CES in january; hopefully 2K8 will be there.

In the Show...you can control all the teams ROSTERS(setting lineups....pitching rotation....callups/send downs as well as player movement through the league) .....BUT you will only be able to PLAY the games of two teams you can choose when you start a franchise.

Now...I love The Show as much as the next guy and feel confident that as they have in the past, they will improve this years version.
I feel that 2K7 will do the same, and while I won't be buying or playing 2K7 this year(no manage only mode...I'm out on that ). There are some VERY nice things about the 2K baseball series. I hope they just keep pushing each other as each new version comes out....that will make the best baseball world for us.

Thats not bad if you can control all rosters . I really like the 2k series but cant play another season of Jeter on Padres and Rolen batting leadoff lol.
This is a must for most hardcore MLB fans ! and bring back playoff mode too.
When they went from espn they lost all these modes
          We will see

The Show can be considered to look like a beautiful video game, 2K can be considered to look like a realistic video game, if that makes sense).

And you look at that Manny shot a second time (especially the umpire) and tell me that the contrast of lighting doesn't actually look goofy in that shot.
Why does 2K blur everything in the background? That's goofy looking IMO. It makes it look like a photograph rather than real life. Is that what it looks like in the cutscenes? I do think on the most part that 2K has some better graphics, especially when it comes to lighting details on the players.

It's their way of focusing their shots. Even if you go into replay mode, it's like that. Sometimes it annoys me. Other times, I understand why they do it. I don't know which I prefer. Perhaps if it were a lesser tone.

But yeah, not much to work on then. I mean, they can, but if opportunity cost is a factor, I would rather they invest time on a weakness in this game.

It's even funnier when I'm defending it. At least, when arguing about the negatives, I'm looking for improvement until I actually OWN it.

2k8 should be pretty good this season as baseball games seem to make quick turnarounds with the right vision. The Triple-Play to MVP jump was huge, and even MVP got significantly better over it's 3 seasons. I think people tend to forget how mediocre Sony baseball has been over the last decade or so. The MLB to Show transition is a perfect example of how the right focus can totally revamp a franchise. I loved The Show on PSP to death, and I know the 08 version will be tits, but I don't think the MLB series is somehow invincible.

2k8 just needs 60fps...more fielding, idle, and contextual animations...and some tweaks to the AI. If they don't, that $400 40gig will be mighty tempting come Spring.

Have to disagree with ya somewhat on that Jim. I thought most of the signature animations in 2K7 were quite good & VERY accurate. Strictly referring to the signature stuff though.

but having played 2k7 all summer...the day games are 2nd to none....the nighttime lighting does need some work IMO
