I should probably clarify. I'm positive in most aspects of life (ie: family, friends, job etc...). Just not with video games. I've been burnt too many times by companies promising everything under the sun and then not delivering or not implementing the feature to the fullest.

I think what happens is we want too much, I know I do. I want everything to be perfect and be just like it is in real life. I remember playing baseball video games and I wanted to have working scoreboards. Now that they have those, I want all the other little things too. lol

That's exactly it. Plus, I have my idea as to what the perfect baseball game should include and how it should function. When a game doesn't have a certain aspect that I like, I wind up disappointed. So now I don't get my hopes up too high.

I was actually thinking the same thing. It was an interesting idea that still needed some tweaking for MVP. I'd like to see what they could do with that.

I think pitching is the hardest thing to get right in a video game. If you give the user too much control, there are no walks. If you give it more of a statistical feel like High Heat did, people, today, will complain about not having enough control.

I'd like to see what they come up with.

If it is along those lines, hopefully it is more advanced. It became too easy after a few games.

That is why you have sliders to effect it either way.

True, Scott, but I don't recall a game every really getting that feel right. For me, I would rather have less human control, but for others that wouldn't be right.

The only game I remember with that type of slider you are talking about is High Heat. I would love both games to give a slider that is based on stats vs. human control. It's probably really hard to do though.

I feel exactly the same way. Developers have got to find a way to give back to those of us who want it, a truly realistic pitching experience. If this aspect of the game is fundamentally flawed, then no matter how great all the other aspects of the game may be, the whole game can only be mediocre at best.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

ASB did a pretty good job with a decent pitching sim feel, they had an option to let the computer do the pitching, and you could control the fielding...Each pitchers performance would match his abilities...I loved it...

Are you talking about the Full Count feature? Or was that only for batting?

I guess my problem is I want the players to have real numbers to their counterparts. If they did that it would be great, but then what happens if a player in real life has a coming out year. I just think it is too hard to have that.
