Well, read it all. I wish he was a bit more specific. Sort of talked in general terms, but at least it appears they want to improve it. I wish them well and hope the game really improves.
Hopefully more info will start flowing out now.

Wonder if they're real players? Would like to hear that the minors system is chock full of real players so that we don't have to drive a roster maker nuts updating them.

The 90 playable minor league teams and authentic minor league stadiums, which I don't believe has been done before.

Go Brinkman, very nice to hear.

it probably just me worrying but I sure hope they didnt spend too much time on the PS3 against the 360... it sounded like (from that interview) that all they really focused on was the PS3.
not that I think i'll be dissapointed in the 360 version in any way but I sure hope its every bit as good as the PS3 version since, well, us 360 users don't have an option #2...
i still have faith that it will all work out

ps. glad to see an interview but MAN was that a lot of fluff... didn't really tell us anything besides what we already knew and/or assumed

he you really read it, the PS3 was not up to par with the 360 version, the whole interview was him just really saying that they final got the PS3 version up to par with the 360 version, thats what I came a way seeing.

I take that interview as Brinkman saying the PS3 version will be the same as the 360 this year. It won't be lesser in any form. Which will be a welcome thing for PS3 owners considering the PS3 isn't a slouch hardware wise. I'm glad that PS3 won't be getting a sloppy seconds port. I hated seeing the XBox 1 getting that treatment for years and I hate seeing the PS3 get the same treatment. I don't expect it to be BETTER since it's a multi-platform game, but I do expect it to be Equal in terms of visuals, framerate, features, etc... if it loads faster or has higher resolution textures due to the blue ray, that's cool. that's a PLUS of the PS3... but if it's missing self shadowing, craptastic frame rates, bugs, etc while the 360 versoin flourishes, frak that. it's a nice way to run people away from the PS3.

                            The good:

The game was a little bit arcadey at times last year: A lot of singles and home runs, basically. Now you're seeing a lot more hit variety, and things you'd see in a Major League Baseball game. Choppers, rollers, pop ups to the catcher, things like that that you just take for granted.

there was a lot of interesting stuff we found out when we were re-writing the hitting code. A lot of interesting stuff went to determining what was going to happen with the outcome of a given play. We ripped almost all of that out. Stuff like team morale, stuff like player attitude, stuff like that. How do you tune that? There were so many different factors coming into play -- how do you get consistent tuning going on?

since you asked about cameras: we have a number of new gameplay cameras and we've redone a number of our out of play sequences as well.

                            the bad:

No, we won't have Spring Training this year.

I would have liked a little more detail, but I guess we'll have to wait for that... sounds good, though, Brinkman's a good salesman. Hope the game delivers.
