    Re: 2K8 Brinkman Interview

I like this They're going to take the wrong route on fly balls, and they might overthrow a cutoff man and they might allow a guy to get to second. They might just do things that you'd see in a normal baseball game. So it's a fine balance in tuning that stuff.

i really love his open style. great news indeed.

I am glad that that both systems will be running at 60fps.

I cant wait to see this motion as well as mlb08. please add new commentary from the announcers. they are pretty boring using stuff from 2005.

compare them to the crew in mlb, its no contest.

This is great news for baseball fans. in terms of gameplay, my money will be on mlb08. I have played the hell out of mlb06 on my psp ( i like it more than 07 )

if mlb2k8 sounds this good, i will buy both.

Upon reading this I think I almost burst into tears. This year is going to be very good for baseball. I think I just wet myself, excuse me.

          Re: 2K8 Brinkman Interview

This interview has really piqued my interest. I wonder what the changes are to the pitcher/batter duel? That was my one main gripe with the game. Are all the fixes to the pitcher/batter duel code-based and "under the hood", so to speak? Or, will we see some new options on how to hit and how to pitch? I am very curious indeed.

Top that off by fixing the herky-jerky fielding and in-game AI, we may have a sweet game coming.

Everyone can agree that the game is absolutely beautiful. I really hope MLB 2K8 is a gem. God! I love baseball.

I'm so excited. I've been waiting for a full minor league system since I started playing 2k baseball. With all that BB is doin for this game, it sounds like its going to be a great year for baseball!

He covered everything that I wanted to hear about. Not in great detail, but most important of all was how he broke down the hitting variables that matter. And that they re-did the code to reflect that.

Now the only things I have to pray for are better field friction, a smaller and lower strike zone, and more generic stances (I say this because too many people have the same stance... if there were more generic stances overall, this wouldn't be a problem).

I wonder if there is a create a player mode that you put your guy in the minors and bring him up....interesting...probably not but still, its a sick feature.

Like I said in another thread. I hope they fixed the SIM/STATS Engine. Game play doesn't mean JACK if the SIM/STATS Engine is still BROKEN

Brinkman is the best thing to happen to this game! He has a vision and that vision is Sim baseball...

I am so excited after reading this interview...WOW! 60 FPS...March ain't that far away, cant wait...

                      I wonder if:

-The crack of the bat sound has been tweaked?

-In an interview last year Brinkman mentioned that we would have "Total Edit" on all the players in 2K7, I don't know what happened but it didn't show up, I really hope it shows in 2K8...

I hope I'm going to be able to prioritize my day after this game arrives, I need to remember to eat this time around...

I believe we are all in for a real treat come March!

                      Scooter...

Nice interview. I hate to be a pessimist, but talk is cheap. Ben's in marketing mode right now and rightfully so. Let's see these things in action.

As for the minor league teams and whether or not they have full rosters, I thought it was not possible to name minor league players due to MLB licensing? In other words, if a player had not played or been on a Major Leauge 40 man roster, the game developers could not use their name in a game.

Sounds promising! I thought they were going to be happy with the whole batting/pitching interface. Glad to see they weren't totally happy with it. Also like seeing that hit variety will be adressed. I knew fielding was this years plan and didn't expect this!

I really hope they give us online league guys something..

Can't wait for CES. Hope they are there. Videos/pics and questions answered will be coming from me for sure. 23 days and counting...

You are correct. Remember the Daisuke Matsuzaka roster huh-bub? We all wanted to know why he wasn't in the game when the opening day rosters were released.

I wonder if we will have the option to use the Classic parks in Franchise & Season, like in MVP 05? I hope so, plus a bigger selection of classic uniforms wouldn't hurt...

i was thinking the same thing when i read that as well, maybe it will be generated players; unless they cut some sort of deal.
