I'd have preferred seeing a whole inning of a game. I'd also like it if the IGN people didn't skip through the cutscenes too but that's a minor gripe.

Is it just me or has the game looked a little better when playing day games instead of night games?

Actually, to me, it sounded the exact same.

And the strike zone is lower and smaller... but not by much. I'm still a nagger in this area. At least it's not as high as it used to be, but it still doesn't quite hit the knees like it should.

Color me impressed with the overall look of the game, but unimpressed when comparing my own personal hype to what I got. I noticed that throws are a bit better, but grass really is not.

I also don't understand what happened to the night games. It's starting when it's dark now. Hopefully that's like... a weird time setting or something, because I would be really disappointed if they don't keep the time of day progression.

In all, I still can't wait for the demo. I really like the batting camera now, though I still wish it were a little bit lower (I feel it's a little too angled).

            Re: IGN MEDIA THREAD!

            My review of the video....

As I expected grfx wise the gsme looks exactly the same (which is a good thing because the game is beautiful)

            Pros:

Crowd noise mos def improved.....huge huge huge huge plus!!

Ball hits the dirt off foul balls, bad throws, etc looks nice

Bat sounds improved, not perfect but improved

Follow thrus on the swings are greatly improved

Pitching from wha I can see looks like its challenging/fun at the sametime

            Added more batting stances/pitch deliveries

            Equipment looks more accurate

Player models/players appearance looks more authentic and true to life

            Cons:

Framerate looks bad when fielding the ball (mos likely because of demo build because 60 fps was promised)

Not sure if HR will be that easy to hit.....hope not

As you can see not many cons there and these are things that more then likely will be addressed for the final build....Also for the too many HR be mindful IGN wants to show off the most exciting parts of the game so for all u know this could have been the only 2 HR in all 4 games they played and chose to post them.....All and all i think the game looks great and seems to play great IMO.....after a couple more vidz and some insite from IGN writers we should be 90%-95% satisfied wit the changes made with 1 yr left on the 3 yr plan.....I am happy with what I see....

Watch some of the high res vids and pause it, the grass looks the same and has the same 3D effect on it. It is just "greener" now.

I played this on 360 for a month last year and then on PS3 for awhile...PS3 version looked so terrible compared to 360. The real graphics test for me will be to see if the PS3 version catches up w/ 360. If so, that will be a huge leap in graphics for PS3 people.

I think the framerate issue HAS to be the video player or how they captured it. It wasn't even that choppy last year!

The video it's self is choopy not the game. U can see this from the entire video. Last years game was 30fps and it was not this choppY SO how do u expect 60fps to be worst??

The throwing meter actually tells you which direction you're pointing with the analog stick (I believe) and it clearly tells you he was throwing it at 3rd base (where LT would have been the cutoff man.) Therefore, this is user error.

I will bet anyone on here, it is the video player!

Kush? Is it smoother than those vids... cause it seems very choppy. And my first thought was the video capture NOT the game.

No it is not, re-watch it ... I seen it fine.

It was my fear, but now that I seen it, it is still there!

In the diving play video, you can clearly see it when Mark Reynolds comes up to bat, at 45 seconds ... doesn't help the video capture has pixel blur.

I always thought this ever since last year. I think during the day games you get all the nice shadowing and then in the Red Sox games everything looks a little "flatter" because the shadowing isn't as pronounced. Just my opinion, though.
