I'm impressed, looks much more life-like this year, the parks are gorgeous, much improved, blur factor toned down...

player model proportions are dead-on! The players look believable more realistic like they are alive...

I really like what I see! Love the fact that we can watch the flight of the ball from the crack of the bat to when it clears the fence...

The frame rate is a little jumpy in spots, I hope that gets ironed-out before reliese...It's not perfect but I see a big visual improvement...Waiting to see the PS3 version...

can't wait...

I have to disagree with the folks who think the presentation went backwards. I thought it looked very slick. I wish there was more commentary and that the HR's were handled differently, but that isn't a change from before. I do wish the music was the baseball tonight music like from ESPN 2K5...

Thank you. It baffles me that after a combined 4 mutes of gameplay people have already written off the game. Can't we enjoy anything?

I don't think it went backwards at all it is better for sure but they just streamlined what was already there to give it that affect. They haven't added anything new. And still no celebration for homeruns is a little bit embarrassing. The most we get is about 3 trots and it cuts to the replay and the next batter walks up. One of the most exciting things in baseball is again played out as though it were just another single.

It could have something to do with the way the videos were recorded though. We really have no clue what IGN did or didn't do.

I have seen lots of videos on game sites chop even in the DL-ed versions, where you didn't see it in the final game, etc. If there was any kind of anomalies while recording and/or encoding, then you would most certainly get this.

Like I said, if it chopped THIS BAD, they would have mentioned it in the preview, and would have certainly been mentioned in the part where he said they had a month to polish it.

If it means anything, the Mark Reynolds shot was from a "meat pitch" (and if we set that slider to 0, we wouldn't get a display like that), and in 2K7, that pretty much guaranteed solid contact.

*Sigh* Didn't even notice this

this was one of the first issues people complained about when the game came out..........thats pretty much sad that they didn't even get around to fixing something as simple as that. It seems like there is just a complete absence of any caring at all of what we have wanted to see and they ignored everything else in the game to work on the pitching and hitting mechanics.

I know! This is just rediculous! 4 at bats, and some are not even gonna try it? I personally thought the vids were very good. I mean, some of the complaints are that the stadiums don't have the correct grass??? Guys don't turn their heads the correct way??? Geez, if you cannot play a next-gen sports game becausse of that, I feel sorry for you.

(And on the one where big Papi Strikes out, if you look at the top of the screen, you can see a FLAG blowing pretty hard.)

Well were people bashing The Show w/ the first 4 vids they posted? If you're showing the game for the first time you would want it to be well represented and so far I don't think they've done that yet.

W/ that said I own a 360 so I will be getting this game and holding out optimism. As long as franchise is better...trades are toned down...staff signings/firings are toned down, and there are other additions other than the minors I will be happy.

I was just expecting to see something better than I did, and hopefully I won't have to go into slider hell trying to get this game to play to my liking.
