This video did indeed seem a lot better. Probably because there was no human element involved. I think we also have to remember that out of the box last year 2K7 was unplayable. But with the right sliders and settings, the thing played a damn realistic game of baseball. I think 2K8 will play an even more realistic game now that the homers/etc have been toned down.

Re: Found video on 2k forum
The one thing that I didn't like unless somehow the person in charge fixed this or something.
Franklin Guitirez is an outfielder, he will Cleveland's RF and Michaels and Delucci will split time in left. Garko is the starting 1B.
In the vid they have Michaels, Delucci, Guitirez all starting and somehow Garko is on the pine. Hopefully we won't have just dumb randomly made up lineups by the CPU.
I mean how hard should it really be to make an AI understand the order in which the lineup is made.
The one good thing I really liked is that they have Asdrubal's stance spot on and he was only up with the team last year for half the year.Comment

ClubMS.net
Good luck trying to find more 2K8 stuff. I looked for about 30 minutes before I gave up, I was seriously getting a headache. All the colors, and the movement, and the weird ads, it's a strange looking site. Made even worse by the fact that I couldn't read anything on it.
It appears that they last updated 2K8 on Jan. 26th, so that video might have been there for a few days before it was found. So there's hope they have some more.
On the bright side, I was able to find this.Last edited by Rob_NYY; 01-29-2008, 08:50 PM.Comment

Re: Found video on 2k forum
Kush is back.....Question. Did you guys include sig styles for the top closers in the game as well? Like Papelbon, Putz, Velvarde, and others? I know you're a NYY fan and Mo's in the game from last year but I was wondering about the others?
BTW, great job on John Lackey's sig style. It looked spot on.PSN: bronk14Comment

A question for Kush on the subject, can we now add relievers sig styles to created/edited players? I created a guy and wanted to give him K-Rod's sig style, but the game wouldn't allow it. I'm guessing because the sig style has no windup, just stretch. Lidge and Street were the only reliever sig styles you could give to other players and they both had windup and stretch.Comment

Re: Found video on 2k forum
That's great to hear, Kush. I was really impressed with all the new animations. Sure some of them are small little additions but it helps make the game look and play that much better.
Kush, I was wondering if take out slides are in this game??Comment

Re: Found video on 2k forum
Jeez, that crap he had last year was his sig style?! No wonder I thought he didn't have one, it was terrible!
We re-captured it this year and I LOVE it. Also, with the new hitting engine he is actually good. Annoyed me that he kind of stunk last year becuase he only threw two pitches and they are basically the same speed.
Now for next year we need to see him jogging out of the bullpen to the mound complete with a generic rip-off of Enter Sandman. I loved the way MVP 2005 (or was it MLB 06: The Show?) had Trevor Hoffman with his own entrance, complete with the Bells from "Hells Bells" intro. It was awesome.Comment

Of course, I believe everyone you mentioned does. Mo had a sig last year but it wasn't very good. We re-captured it this year and I LOVE it. Also, with the new hitting engine he is actually good. Annoyed me that he kind of stunk last year becuase he only threw two pitches and they are basically the same speed. Same with Billy Wagner. They are both actually good this year.
And I want him to have Sandman too, since Metallica had signed on to video game licensing ... please get them and others!!!!Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Yep, and he said it is a whole new system with the double plays that has some many circumstances, it is crazy. And combined with the throwing system, it will make the DPs EARNED and feel good, like you have to rush them but be accurate.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Found video on 2k forum
I love how the show diehard keeping ripping the 360's only option, but my question is this, is it more difficult for 2k to make a game that goes to several consoles compared to Sony's game that's made specifically for Sony's consoles?Comment
