This vid was SO much better than the ones IGN crapped out. I'm agreeing with what a lot of people are saying about the baseball appearing heavy. Last year, it seemed the ball was full of helium and just kind of floated magically from place to place.

As for the "little things," the sig styles were amazing, Lackey's motion was pretty much perfect. I love the new intro graphics on the screen. The fans walking about before the game look 100x better than they did last year. I love how they throw the ball around then back to the pitcher on outs. The cutscenes on them running off the field looked so much better than the ones we got last year, where they all ran like Jim Kaat.

Overall, this vid has me REALLY pumped for this games release! Just about a month away, I cannot wait!

Have to somewhat agree.... how many times have you watched a real game and screamed at a pitcher to "throw over to 1st" and they didn't?

It's not like they aren't throwing over ever.

Maybe your missing my point, I never questioned him throwing over at 1st or 2nd, I said that he never checks the runner with his head, which is part of baseball and every pitcher does this. Thats what I'm talking about, the whole video he does not check the runners and just blindly throws the ball over without giving the bases a look, thats all I'm talking about..

I am a baseball junkie, as I'm sure many on here are, the more( quality at least ) games, the better.I litterally am playing MVP 08( pc-mooded of course ) All star basbeall 05( 360 ) The Show 07 ( ps3 ) and Mlb 2k7 ( 360) right now...and am just waiting for the next 2 to drop.

Kush games needs new animators or new mo-cap people or something. Just like NHL 2K, the game looks great standing still; the way it looks in motion is a different story. Some extremely sorry throwing animations in particular.

The throw at the 2:00 mark looked a little 'lobby' to me, I could be nickpicking though.

Also, the toss to the pitcher at first at 3:18 makes me cringe. I HATED that last year!

I will add that Torii Hunter goes into slow-motion mode for a second at the 5:25 mark.
I want TOTAL control of the outfielder, I dont' want to CPU to kick into some stupid
animation while I'm running.

There's a medical term for this, but it escapes me at the moment.

To me it looks basically like last year, which isn't a bad thing. I was hoping for more change to presentation, same batting order after the first batter bats, same scene on defensive positions. If it was CPU vs. CPU, didn't see a ball thrown, but who knows how they choreograph these demos/vids?

Gameplay will be the final determining factor and lets hope it's really stepped up this year. If so, good news for baseball fans.

Animations look much improved over 2K7, the cutoff man was actually used on the throw from center field (looks like the rocket arms were fixed), and low and behold, but unlike the IGN vids, the jersey's weren't flapping like an 80-year-old woman's underarms.

So far so good!

The video looked pretty solid to me. I also liked the fact that it was recorded in 4:3 instead of 16:9. I now know that the game won't look like crap on my standard def television!

They also cleaned up the most annoying animation (in my opinion) from last year, and that was the choppy, disjointed lead off animation. Runners taking leads look natural, not like robots.

The proof will be in the pudding, but I have high hopes for 2K8. If 2K7 to 2K8 is comparable to the improvement made between MVP 04 to MVP 05, I think we'll have a solid game in our hands.

All I can say is this game looks vastly improved. Yes there are still some niggling little things but overall the game looks solid.

Oh and those old Halos uniforms

Also it's nice to see the runners on base look much more natural like a real broadcast.

I'm so amped up for baseball I watched some of Game 4 of the 1990 WS and I don't even like the Reds or A's!

I really cant stand the 2k theme music or the bat sounds, but the game looks TERRIFIC.

I would still prefer to see the ball come off of the bat for a split second before it changes to the fielding camera.


I like how smoothly it animates though.
