I wish they would put up FULL teams ratings. I want to see them all dammit. Guess we're lucky to get new info today tho.

Re: Player/Team Ratings are up!
with all do respect to everyone who makes a big deal about ratings, how can you be upset or happy for that matter about any of the ratings given to a player, when you have NO IDEA as to what it is that they are taking in as a factor for the ratings. Let me explain, or actually let me ask: do you know how many factors were taken in order to give out a rating? do you know if fielding has a higher value then hitting? how many categories are taken into consideration, is it only fielding, hitting and pitching? or did they take all five to six tools into consideration when giving this ratings (power, average, fielding, throwing, running, speed) yes there is a difference between a fast runner and a smart runner. i guess my point is you don't know which factor are taken when giving a player a rating, and you don't know which one of these factor are given more or less importance over the other? so to conclude stop complaining about all of the thing you know nothing about and wait for the game to come out and then i am sure you be able to give a much better analysis about the game.
Yes there will be debate about guys like Cabrera vs. Wright or Reyes vs. Jeter. But when you leave guys like Verlander out of the top 20 of SP, there is something wrong.Comment

Re: Player/Team Ratings are up!
I do agree that ratings overall in sports games make no sense sometimes. I really like Jose Reyes but I would take Jimmy Rollens and Hanley Ramirez before I take Reyes. No way he should be #1.Comment

Re: Player/Team Ratings are up!
Now that I think of it, wasn't there something about the ratings system being based on the previous 3 seasons? Seems like I read that somewhere... that would help explain, I guess, why some young guys seem to have gotten jobbed.Comment

Re: Player/Team Ratings are up!
Considering Delgado is an 88 and Alou is an 85, these are definitely based on the last 3 years.Comment

Re: Player/Team Ratings are up!
Yeah, I would think CC and Beckett, after their great year, would have at least a 94.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Player/Team Ratings are up!
They are still using Inside Edge, so they are most likely still basing ratings on three years. Otherwise Church would be an 80 or above, and the old guys like Alou, Delgado, and Lo Duca would be less than they are.Comment

Re: Player/Team Ratings are up!
Aaron Hill? No? David Eckstein a 75? Jays middle infield looks weaaaak...and I don't think that's totally deserved.
Meanwhile, V-dub is not a 90.
Meanwhile, thank goodness we can edit these...Proud to be a Toronto Sports Fan, no matter how many losses and disappointments.
