So who else is getting excited?
You know the deal, right up to a release of a game and immediately after there seems to be a huge wave of negativity regarding the game. Well in this thread there will be none of that! All I know is this: After playing MVP 2005 for three straight years on the Xbox, I am ready for a new baseball experience. MVP is great but after three years on a now old-gen machine, I can't wait for my first sports game for my 360. And I hope MLB 2K8 lives up to that.

Re: So who else is getting excited?
I can't get excited about something I haven't really seen. Am I excited about baseball season? Man, you bet. Am I excited about baseball gaming? You bet. But, crikey, it's like watching ice melt. I want to see the game in action and then get excited. Not read an interview.Comment

Re: So who else is getting excited?
I am with you...the latest interview sounds great the interviewer had great things to say....love the new pitching, fielding and FINALLY a complete minor leagues. It will take some work to rename the Top 100 minors and get the sliders right but as soon as I do this game will be SWEETComment

Re: So who else is getting excited?
Although some on this board consider me the doom/gloom type of guy towards this game, its only because I want this game to be excellent. I also loved mvp 05 and still play it to this day ( pc ) My hopes are so high for this game, I guess I am always waiting for the "other shoe to drop" Here's to hopefully a great game that will get as much playing time as the Show.....if not more!!
PS: I would love to see if Sec Taylor( Cubs AAA ) is one of the AAA stadiums...man that would have me juiced, in a non- sexual way of course.Last edited by bluengold34_OS; 02-20-2008, 10:48 PM.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Re: So who else is getting excited?
Chief,
I can't help but get excited, I love baseball and 2K8 is offering up some interesting inovations...
We will see real soon if they improved the weaker aspects of this game like fielding etc...
The new throwing feature sounds realistic to me, can't wait to try it...
All in all the game looks darn good, then you add 60 FPS and all these things seem to add up to a better baseball experience for 08'...
I trust that Ben Brinkman and crew will earn our respect and appreciation this year...

Re: So who else is getting excited?
I'm excited. Our final financial submissions for year end are due at the beginning of March, so as soon as they are done and I get a few free days off, it will be nice to spend one of those days vegging in my game room with this game.
As and A's fan, it will be a learning experience as I get used to all of the new players and see what they are capable of.Comment
