The Nationals. I love the challenge, and I would have a lot of fun calling guys up and sending guys down to the farm throughout the year.

Rays are a nice team to go with. Just get some pitching and watch out they turn into a very good team. But i will go with my Yanks, and maybe a National league team(a team that needs work on to make them good)

The Nationals. As an Expos fan, my love has driven down to Washington with them. Plus, two words: Ryan Zimmerman!

Rangers - Josh Hamilton is gonna lock down centerfield for me... and all the young arms, are coming up sooner rather than later.

I've got to go with my Yankees. I will keep most everybody, except Johnny Damon and Hideki Matsui. I'll probably only trade one of them. Which ever one I do end up trading, it will deinfitely be for the future, maybe 2 or 3 top to mid-level position player prospects, seeing as the yankees pitching future looks amazing. Other than that, nothing in the immeadiate future, possibly a Jason Giambi move, depending on his trade value.

With the new trade value system, you'll be lucky to get a hot dog in exchange for him!

Altho, in Giambis case, since hes declining, he might be accept a WAY smaller contract if I offer him a couple years. I'd like for him to accept about a 18mill/3 year deal, 6 mill a year for 20-25 homers? not a bad deal actually.

and if I do end up getting a major deal like that, he'd be alot easier to shop around if need be.

Take a guess? We had alot of good suprises last year, all we need is for the mainstays to step it up...cough...cough...Hafner.

And as always healthy pitching...they key to a champoinship

Phillies for me! I am going to re-sign Howard long term first off, I know he got 10M a year this morning, but it depends on my budget, but I plan on signing him close to something like that. Then sort out my starting rotation and bullpen.

As the season progresses, keep an eye out for a trade for someone to replace eaton, since I am giving money away to him.

Trading Helms somewhere in the beginning of the franchise also!

It's going to be tough being the GM/Manager of the Cardinals this year.. or at least I have MANY decisions to make before making up my roster. I think the NL Central will be a battle for sure with Milwaukee, Chicago, Houston, Cincy, and even Pittsburgh is always tough to play against.

Besides the OF, my lineup is about complete in my head, but pitching is going to be tough and I'm going to play many exhibition games to decide who's starting this year. I'm wondering if Carp and Mulder will be injured on the rosters that ship with the game?

I'm hoping to hear from some NL Central team players so I can get some insight on the teams in this division this year.

Well of course I'm going with the Cubs. I expect the team to have a pretty solid season with the only true question mark is whether Felix Pie can handle ML pitching. Cubs have 3 good choices for closer with Howry the most likely and Marmol and Wood setting up the 7th and 8th. There's a battle for the 4th and 5th starter going on between Lieber, Marquis, and Dempster. According to reports Dempster has found a new life in preparation of being a starter again, hopefully this will translate into success and wins. Again outside of CF the starting lineup seems to be pretty set and solid, with what appears to be an upgrade in RF with Kosuke Fukudome adding a nice lefthanded bat protecting Aramis Ramirez. Unless a rumored trade for Brian Roberts goes through, expect Soriano to leadoff in LF, followed by Theriot SS, Lee 1b, Ramirez, Fukudome, Derosa 2b, Pie CF, Soto C, with a rotation of Zambrano, Lilly, Lieber, Hill, Dempster/Marquis.

As for the rest of the NL Central, I expect challenges from Milwaukee and their revamped bullpen and great starting lineup, possibly Houston as long as Tejada doesn't have any troubles from the league office in regards to steriods, their lineup should be formidable. Expect the same from Pittsburgh, Dusty Baker has shown that he normally wins in his first year with a new team and the Reds can flat out hit. Harang and Arroyo are a good 1-2 combonation, with high expectations for prospect Homer Bailey. As for the Cardinals, they always scare me as a Cubs fan, but with Carpenter out, the rotation will struggle, and you have to wonder how desperate they are for hitting with giving Juan Gonzales a minor league invitation.
