Re: Ben Brinkman (MLB2K8) Conference Call Live Blog -- 5 PM EST Start
Can we have a little more info on the HITTING system? Everything is about the pitching, but what about the hitting? Is it simple pull and push? Can we use last year's hitting model with buttons to swing and stick for direction? Or is it ALL timing now on all hitting models?Comment

Re: Ben Brinkman (MLB2K8) Conference Call Live Blog -- 5 PM EST Start
I just have a simple question....will every HR be a cutscene or do we have an option to turn it off so we could get the excitement of not knowing if it's going out or not and then seeing it go.
Reason why I care is because on TV even if it's a no doubter it still looks the same and then they just zoom out and show how far it went. They don't show some different angle. It takes away from the suspense imo. On HR's in games that aren't no doubters it looks like a fly ball in the outfield that is deep and you go by the outfielder and how close he's getting to the wall and then you finally know it's definetley gone and there's just so much excitement to that. That's why the big flys are the best plays in baseball.Comment

Just asked about it. No way to turn it off, online or off. He says it only happens on absolute obvious HR's, not every HR.I just have a simple question....will every HR be a cutscene or do we have an option to turn it off so we could get the excitement of not knowing if it's going out or not and then seeing it go.

Sheesh, the epitome of laziness. Someone should ask if there's still time left that is, if they would ever consider doing away with Jon and Joe and use the guys that did NFL2K/APF.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Well all in all I gotta say the game seems to be a lot more improved. I'm not going to proclaim it as the best baseball game but at least it'll be better then the disaster that some folks are predicting it to be.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
