What i dont understand.... is that the game went gold right, so the demo should of been completed a while ago. What i dont get is 2k's marketing strategy would it be to release the demo before the game comes out to entice the buyer to go pre-order it? Isnt marketing in general to excite the consumer... releasing the demo when the game comes out does not make any sense at all. And to be honest I loved the MVP series more then anything 2k ever but out. Hate to say it but i would love EA to buy up this franchise and get this game in gear again. 2k is sloppy and unorganized and you can tell by the quality of products.

Is there anything in terms of marketing the 2K has done right. Think about it...they have this new pitching system. If I were them I would be posting vids all over the place and tutorial vids every second of the new pitching mechanic. Even if the rest of the game sucked i would have that all over the place to get people interested in the pitching and the game...because no other game has ever had a somethign like it. 2K has made a bunch of very curious business decisions recently in alot of areas but especially marketing.....at this point nothing surprises me. I wouldnt expect the demo until after reviews for the game are out...this only makes sense...because it makes no sense.

EA doesn't always put out demos before release either.

They do for major releases like Madden, NFS, Burnout etc.

I can't understand why ppl are defending 2k. If you wanna get a demo out early, everyone knows you gotta Submit it for approval early. 2k Just Flopped

EA doesn't always put out demos before release either.

i remember they did that for nhl 08 on the ps3, and it was because it had a piss-poor framerate. Usually if the game has been completed a demo is always put out before the release date. This now has me officially worry. I will not get this game without a demo. Thats for sure.

There is a small chance that it'll come out tomorrow. Sony put some stuff up last Thursday and Friday, so you can hold out some hope...

Its highly, highly unlikely you'll get a demo before next Thursday on the PS3.

There is a small chance that it'll come out tomorrow. Sony put some stuff up last Thursday and Friday, so you can hold out some hope...

HAHA you are right... And what i was saying before, if EA was building this there would be videos of the REAL 100% game. Videos on the Pitching machanics. Also ads everywhere on Gamespot... ign especially since the game comes out next week. Ads like PLAY THE DEMO blah blah blah. i just scratch my head especially since i work in Advertising and Marketing.. and to be honest i think they are not confident in their product. THe only thing they did right was have BEN going around explaing the game which is nice but there NOTHING TO LOOK AT, AT ALL!!.. give me a freakin break.

I understand the frustration, but it's not like they can just tear out a little chunk of code and throw it out there for a demo. Getting the demo ready takes time. Time that might be better spent decoding, tweaking, and making last-minute additions. I honestly hope the demo was the LAST thing on their To-Do List. If people NEED to try the demo before buying the game, just wait until the demo comes out. No one HAS to buy it on Tuesday.
