Re: Demo tomorrow?
The best "feature" is that it plays a very realistic game of baseball. You're not gonna see pitchers making those crazy running off balance cannon throws to first to get guys out on bunts... everything's just so much more realistic.Comment

Re: Demo tomorrow?
It's hard to pick a favorite, it really is. I like all of the new gameplay improvements. Pitching is a lot of fun, hitting feels way more realistic, throwing is great because you are in control of the result, baserunning is less cumbersome. love the minor leagues and the card system turned out to be really cool too. Overall the pitcing and the hitting might be my favorites. And, oh yeah, we added a ridiculous number of fielding animations, which when combined with the improved framerate, make the fielding a lot smoother and you feel much more in control.

Re: Demo tomorrow?
Kush I only have one question and I hope the answer doesn't even matter but if the swing stick does not seem enjoyable will the traditional hitting still have power swings when you point the left stick up or will power swings be left out of the game completely? I hope they are.New York Yankees For President
Boston I hope the Giants helped you learn how to take losing again because theres gonna be a lot more come spring.

Re: Demo tomorrow?
Kush,
What about wind effects? I've asked this a few times and not got an answer. I mean like wind blowing in/out at Wrigley actually effects the game.Check out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

Re: Demo tomorrow?
Kushgamer did you see the PS3 build at all. they said(well 2k's dev said) that they acheived 60 fps on ps3 first.

I played the 360 version a lot more because it was the only console I had at my desk and I far prefer the 360 controller. But of course, I tested stuff out on PS3 and at first, the pitching and throwing seems a little more difficult, because the 360 controller actually has more tension in the analog sticks around the cardinal directions and the PS3 controller does not. But after playing for a bit, it was really no more difficult. I do think the lack of rumble hurts a bit though.Comment

It is true that 60 fps was achieved first on the PS3.

I'm hoping going with the ps3 version is ok as I do not want to get the 360 version personally. 2K7 WAs far better on 360 last year but there is No excuse for the ps3 version to be anything less than "as good as" the 360 version visually this year.
i played the ps3 version a lot last year and saw that the 360 was the more superior version. this uyear that better not be the case or I am never going to buy a 2k product again. it would completley anger me that the ps3 version get shafted a second year in a row.Brand New Tomba Slider sets ready for Next Gen Versions of NBA,Madden and Fifa Stay Tuned...Comment

Re: Demo tomorrow?
I dont think that was really touched this year. It may have been slightly affected by other ball physics work we did, but to my knowledge wind had a significant effect in 2K7, so it still does in 2K8.Comment

Re: Demo tomorrow?
last year though, at least in franchise games, you rarely had a windy game. Did that get touched on?Check out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:
