I saw this on opening day at Busch, 3pm start against COL. About the 7th inning you see the light tower shadows on the field, they continued to creep across. For a while the pitcher was throwing into the shadows. Then by the 9th inning the whole infield was under shadow. Cool stuff. I also like how some players wear sunglasses.

Anyone else notice how emotional the batters get when they fly out/pop out. I think that is just awesome.Comment

Played against the Met's and Jose Reyes led off the game with a bunt single...love that...Though in my next game against the Cubs, Jason Marquis was up with a runner on 2nd with no outs in a close game and didn't bunt.Comment

struck out a batter to end an inning with oliver perez and he did a little skip over the 3rd baseline chalk on the way to the dug out.

Playing as the Rangers against the Blue Jays...Vernon Wells on 2nd, Frank Thomas sends a shot out to left-center that falls in and is scooped up by Josh Hamilton. As Hamilton is charging the ball, I noticed Wells taking off for home so I started the motion for the throw home. The throw ended up coming in slightly up the first base line as Wells started his slide. Saltalamacchia fielded the ball to his right and then spun around and dove toward the sliding Wells. Vernon was doing one of thos slides to the side of the plate to reach around with his hand and tag it...but Salty got the tag in on his shoulder JUST before he touched the plate. First *wow* moment in a baseball game in a while.
I'm loving the game so far - just anxiously awaiting a patch to fix a few of the things that haven't been mentioned here too much.Comment

Re: **The little things thread**
Had one go off my pitcher, right to my 1B who stepped on the bag for the out.
Had one go off my first baseman's glove, right to my pitcher who tagged the runner out as the 1B was out of position.
Had my 2B jump up, catch the ball (snow cone) and then come down and made sure he still had the ball.
My RP gave up a HR that put the other team in the lead, they show him close up and he has his fists balled up and is steaming mad... pretty funny.
So many neat animations this year, definitely loving this game!Comment

Re: **The little things thread**
I haven't checked what Marquis' batting ratings are in the game, but he's one of the best hitting pitchers in the game and hit around .300 for a couple of seasons. That's actually really good AI, I think.Comment

Deep foul ball down the left field line and Emil Brown runs it down. It tails away into the crowd, but Brown comes full steam and runs into the wall. Up pops a cutscene of a coach holding Brown's wrist and Brown goes out with a mild wrist sprain injury or something close to that. Wow.PSN ID: mmdmaznn

Red Sox versus the Giants in an interleague exhibition, and I am pitching with Schilling. My phone rings so I am talking on the phone, and waiting to pitch. The umpire puts his hands up and calls time, and the batter steps out of the box and tries to get something out of his eye. Then, he steps back in and the game continues. Awesome.

Re: **The little things thread**
I don't believe so. Haven't seen it either. In fact, at the end of an inning with the third out being a flyout to LF or RF, the fielder has a great animation of throwing the ball into the crowd of fans that unfortunately is ruined by the fans not even moving. It shows the ball rolling around at their feet and they're like statues.PSN ID: mmdmaznn

Re: **The little things thread**
Playing as the Yankees, I tried to turn a double play with Jeter covering second. The baserunner slid into him hard, though, and as Jeter starts to throw the ball to first the ball pops into the air and sails halfway between first and second. My second baseman catches it, though, and prevents a runner rounding third from going home. Pretty cool exchange.Comment
