    Re: IGN review up.

what gets me is, when IGN interviewed Brinkman about two months ago, it was about the PS3 version, he said there is no frame rate issues and he made it sound like the game was running silky smooth, what happened in the last two months.

Homerism/Biast, through the whole review, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out, how did last years game get a better review lol

Well most people will have more fun with a better game.

I can see that there will always be a lot of people who wish the game were good, want to defend their early purchase of the game, made predictions that they want to justify, etc. These people will always exist and will always try to defend the game. Personally, I got burned by MLB 2k6, rented last year's game, and will probably rent this year's game at some point.

But in reality, this series is so far off from what most of the hardcore baseball fans want. I will have no trouble continuing on with HH04, it is a great game. I hope next year will be better but all the new features are so far off from what I am looking for in a game. Just get back to baseball that plays like a real game of baseball. Like HH used to be.

REALLY, well I feel "SAD" that we can't even play a 2K baseball game with a DECENT framerate...when PROMISED AT LEAST 60fps. Kush, Brinkman...BOTH freakin' lied, and they tried to cover this mess up!

look, when you shell out 60 bucks for a game you better DAMN well get your moneys worth...WITHOUT having to turn isht off to get a PLAYABLE framerate...

That's about what I would give it at this point.

I love Hit Stick 2.0, I love the pitching mechanic. Actually I love all the right stick gameplay additions.

Framerate issues really hamper my enjoyment of the game. Purely my opinion, but the graphics definitely are a step back, not bad, but definitely not as good as last year.

Commentary is sparse and doesn't always coincide with what is happening.

Mid 7's type score is what I would give it.

I agree man. Ben said it will never sink below 30 FPS. Isn't that false advertising

I dont know why people get fired up over ign. I like this game so far, its not perfect but what sports game is now days? They guy who wrote the article is just bitter about MVP. Ill say one thing, there is NO WAY last years was better, so i dont know why the rating went down??? Most everything is improved.

Hey, I agree with you, really. But all I have is a 360, and it is my only choice. I haven't played anything on the console since MVP 05. Usually I am content with OOTP, but I bought a 360 a few weeks ago, and am diving back into the console world. I hope it isn't so terrible, I don't know yet, I haven't played it. But, I think by simply knowing the type of person I am, I will like the game. I am a hardcore baseball fan, and wish for the most realistic game ever, but I know it's not going to happen this year, so all I can do is have fun with what I got, and wish for a better one next year.

However, I am saying all of this without playing it. Who knows, it could be really good, or even great. I don't limit myself on mainstream opinion or review. If I did, I'd listen to rap and watch movies like "Step Up 2 The Streets". Haha.

He was obviously lying. What is he going to say? "Yeah, the framerate it pretty bad. People who shell out $65 are just going to have to deal with it."

Wow. Is 2k Sports baseball efforts now the equivalent of EA with football and basketball?? I hate EA but it seems like thier sports games (well some of them) are slowly starting to get to where we wanted them some time ago (Hockey and Soccer moreso than football and basketball though).

At least 2k didnt get the full rights to MLB. Going to pick up my copy of The Show when leave the office today... and for the record I was buying it instead of 2k before the review.

As someone who has both games, let me say, imo, you made the right choice.

The funny thing is this. I hate EA I really do but I could understand why for instance thier basketball game gets a bad framerate cuz the graphics themselves are quite impressive. Youd think the less intense the graphics are in a game the easier it is to get a good framerate out of it. With 2k's baseball and basketball games now, visually they are showing thier age. No excuse on the framerate here. The Show looks better AND hes a much smoother framerate. Oh well.. I guess if EA buys 2k *GASP* we can get MVP back... but i think Sony is actaully pwing the competition with baseball. Now if they can just get the same team to fix basketball lol

It says in the review the frame rate is worse on the PS3 and even got a worse score. For shame.
