At first I thought the frame rate glitch was due to the HDD being connected. Now I see that when I log out of my Xbox360 profile and play the game, it is a silky smooth 60 fps. Bad frame rate with a profile... Great frame rate without a profile. I smell a patch coming.

You can play any game without being logged in. You just can't save your progress and settings or acquire achievements.

When you are camping under the ball and ready to make the catch with your left fielder, press the X button to let the centerfielder knwo you are calling for the ball. The CF will peel off and out of the way. Not a glitch, User error.

So in theory can you play a franchise using this method? Start the game w. profile and load franchise, sign off profile and play games, log back in to profile when ready to save?

Does anyone else's batter's eye not work? When I guess a pitch correctly, the ball still doesn't show up. I thought if you guessed correctly it did?

I don't believe this will work. Without a profile loaded, everytime you play the game it will load the defaults and you won't be able to save anything because the game won't recognize your HDD or memory card. The game will absolutely play at a very smooth clip without an Xbox360 profile loaded. But this is not the way any of us will want to play this game. However, I do hope it will assist 2K Los Angeles in identifying and fixing this issue.

Yup, I just tested it too and it works. I made a post in the Framerate Thread about it. True you can't unlock achievements this way but I'm fine with that.

At least this gives everyone an option, you can play with some framerate issues and unlock things or play a smooth game in all areas and not unlock stuff.

my only complaint is the online lag i really do hope it gets better in a few weeks.

I also can't seem to make a contact swing with the swingstick 2.0. I tried to move the right stick down and release but it won't swing. I don't know what I'm doing wrong...the other guy I played with online had the same problem as well. Power swing works fine though.

there is only one swing this year. hold back and press up. the manual is wrong.

Has anyone tried turning off all the cutscens/replays etc. and seeing if that helps the framerate? I'm planning to try once I get home but that won't be for another 6 hours or so, so I thought I'd ask.

Yes I have turned every option like that off. It does seem to help but I think the aerial cam itself helps more. There is still noticeable stutter but tis manageable. Unloading the VIP when playing sounds like the real fix.

OK thanks, I have the aerial cam and the ball trail off and it's tolerable. I'm a bit of an achievement whore though, so turning off the profile/VIP is out at least until I have everything unlocked, and hopefully it'll be patched by then.

Also, not sure if this really counts as a bug or not, but if you play any shorter seasons in franchise, your minor league teams all play the minor league teams for your MLB opponent on the same day as your MLB games, regardless of whether or not thos minor league teams are in the same league. I thought that was kind of strange.

I've noticed that the post-game wrap up may select a player of the game and talk about him, but then show someone completely different. Also, replays of hit by pitch or close plays at first base seem to not show the complete play. You don't get to see the batter actually get hit, or the actual moment of the close play because it cuts back to the action. Also the pre-game presentation really suddenly cuts to the start of the game. Not huge problems as they're mainly cosmetic, but you'd think that these could have been cleaned up ahead of the release. I also don't like the stutter that occurs between the player walk-up and the switch to pitcher/batter screen where they seem to freeze for eternity. Also mainly cosmetic, but c'mon!
