Lineup issues still abound in franchise mode... better than 2k7, but still some things that are apparent
-- for instance - Jim Thome batting second vs a lefty pitcher (and apparently he has relegated Konerko to DH), and that Brian Roberts bats leadoff in three out of the 4 lineups (Luke Scott was in the other).. Again, not as noticeable as last year, but man - someone get them a TV so they can watch a game or two

2 bugs are gamekillers for me:
This nonsense about resetting your pitching roster when you look at your "rotation" screen is a pain for several reasons. People who simulate can no longer simulate correctly. It also changes your minor league pitchers. Not many of us are playing every minor league game in A, AA, AAA. So basically we are simulating games with the same #1 starter pitching every game, if we went to our "rotation" screen.
The second is even worse. I promoted a pitcher in A to AA. I sent one down from AA to A. I go to my "rotation" screen and neither are available to slot anywhere. They weren't in MLB, AAA, AA, or A. I checked my rosters and they were there. But they will not show up anywhere on my "rotation" screens. I simmed a few games and checked again. Same thing. So basically 2 of my better pitching prospects cannot be used for the remainder of my franchise. I can't imagine I'm the only one that got this. I did change the names for these 2 pitchers. Could that be the problem?Comment

And here is my list so far: (ATTN 2K)
-Frame rate (obviously)
-This thing with the Padres not being able to promote/demote players from MLB
-The 4 second freeze when you hit the button before every at bat
-When a first baseman runs to tag the base, he stands there for about 7-8 seconds after the out has been made before it realizes the play is over
-Can't turn off the catcher suggestions
-Whenever you go to your "rotation" screen, it resets your next day's pitcher to your ace starter. This will be a huge problem for your minor league pitchers if you sim them. Your ace will throw every game in A, AA, AAA after you go to that screen. I usually go to that screen alot.
-The announcing is worse this year because they say things that don't even happen, and very frequently
-batter-eye doesn't work. Only way to see his location is when a meatball is thrown.
-The wrap-up after the game is like watching a scratched DVD
-Minor leaguers have none of their minor league stats on overlays. All zeros.
-Computer pitchers try to pick off runners before a batter steps in. When you hit the button to move to the next batter, it jumps to the pick-off attempt immediately and awkwardly (I have all player and inning highlights turned off)Comment

Mine from last night. When in franchise, I can't go from March 31st to April first using the right stick. In fact, I can't get there at all. I've tried 1000 different ways to get it to work, but I can even get to the 2nd game of the season.
In addition, in a previous exhibition game I was playing, I brought in a relief pitcher and the pitching logos never appeared. The whole graphic that showed what pitchers a pitcher can throw and the graphics for those pitches, completely disappeared. Even bringing in a new pitcher after that didn't help. I couldn't get it back. Had to quit.
I love this game, but the bugs are KILLING me. I want so badly for this game to be fun, and it is...but the bugs are nightmarish. Did 2KSports test this game at ALL?Comment

this just bring back bad memories of 2k6, in which i literally no matter what could not bat kaz matsui against lefties. The "dissapearing" players issue has been here for years now and it is a BIG problem. I dont understand how this has not been fixed by now. I really enjoy the gameplay aspect of this game but this series trademark is just these ridiculous annoying and gamekilling bugs, especially in franchise mode.Comment

Minor league stats are all messed up. You can't view their stats from the call-up/send-down screen, and when they come to bat/pitch in a game, it shows them all as having no stats...so if you go 2-for-2, in the 6th inning it shows them as batting 1.000 for the season.
Also, I cannot edit the SWB Yankees lineup.Comment

Every time when I let the pregame introduction ride out to hear the commentary, there is an abrupt transition to the start of the game. Whatever the pregame announcers are saying is cutoff. There are other abrupt transitions during the game too. This may not be a glitch, but I hope 2K fixes this nevertheless.Comment

Okay guys, I searched the forums, and I didn't see anyone else mention this yet. Due to lack of time, I just got around to playing the game since the first day it came out. I loaded my franchise, and when I went to play the second game of my season, it won't allow me to go to the next month. When I push the stick towards the right to advance the month, it immediately returns to the beginning of March. I know I'm not doing anything wrong, just looking for a suggestion other than throwing the game out window, cause that's what I'm leaning towards at this point. I deleted everything off my hard-drive, and started a new franchise, and the same thing happened. Any help is appreciated.
Oh, and even though the card system is dumb, and will never be used by me, that's broken too.
Brinkman, and the crew should be ashamed of themselves for putting the game out with all these bugs. Yeah, I know that no game is ever going to be perfect, but give me a break!Comment

First off, I never read these threads, so I apologize if this has been posted before. With that being said, I just had to post this one:
Grounder to Fielder, Sheets goes to cover 1B. He magically warps from 15-20 VG feet from the bag to right on it when I underhand it to him. He does a catch/step-on-first animation but never actually steps on the bag. Theriot was only halfway down the line, but I had no idea until Jon Miller told me that he had an 'infield hit'. Checked the replay from different angles and he did not touch 1st base, so it was not a 'bad call' or umpiring glitch.

I had a similar thing happen. Jay Bergman got injured for a few days, so the CPU put my LRP in his spot. Then Bergman appeared on my roster screen, but NOT on my rotation screen. I had to demote him, and promote him to have him appear on the rotation screen again, so try moving your pitchers back and forth to see if it works.Comment
