I love this game, but the bugs are KILLING me. I want so badly for this game to be fun, and it is...but the bugs are nightmarish. Did 2KSports test this game at ALL?

If it makes you feel any better (and it won't), the Show has even more bugs than 2K8. I don't know how many times I've read your last sentence in regards to both games all over the net.

Both games are pretty darn buggy right now, which is even more reason to wait to buy until each gets a first patch. I have hope for both games right now.........but it's still at the hope stage.

I was hoping with the hitting rewritten that I wouldn't see what I just saw. Hit a ball up the middle, something didn't look right about it, so I go to a replay and sure enough, the ball went through the bat and than proceeded to line drive itself up the middle. Everytime I play I am seeing something new to be disappointed about. I don't think enough time was spent in the right places.

I had a similar thing happen. Jay Bergman got injured for a few days, so the CPU put my LRP in his spot. Then Bergman appeared on my roster screen, but NOT on my rotation screen. I had to demote him, and promote him to have him appear on the rotation screen again, so try moving your pitchers back and forth to see if it works.

Same thing happened to me. Kyle Kendrick took a pitch off his hand and was out on day with a bruise. After I sim the rest of the day to get to the next game, the prompt comes up asking me what I want to do with my rotation. I go and check out the rotation page, and Kendrick is nowhere to be found. Madson is in his Starter 3 spot. Kendrick is on the roster, but not available to play. This is absurd.

The pitching is broken when guys are on base! I was wondering why I was getting rocked so bad... It doesn't register the first part of the gesture. I can sometimes throw fastballs but stuff like sliders it doesn't work at all, in fact it shows a totally different gimped out gesture than what I actually do.. this sucks big time.

maybe becuz when runners are on base pitchers dont do their full wind up, maybe its replicating that?

No because it works sometimes but not often. There are alot of times I can get the fastball to work but change ups , sliders don't work at all. There will be brief periods with runners on that it works like normal which is weird.. but most the time it doesn't recognize the first gesture and leaves me getting rocked every single game from throwing meat pitches.

I was playing a game in franchise and for some reason Justin Upton has a really glitchy box thing over his head. It is 3D and many different colours. I don't know what it going on but it is on his head everywhere (batting and fielding).

Yeah its annoying but for me there is a workaorund. You have to press the first gesture twice. I know it sucks but it works. For example if you throw a fastball you press down, let go & press down again & continue the second gesture. It registers correctly but I hope it gets fixed.

I was actually trying that and wasn't having much luck with doing that while trying to throw sliders and off speed stuff... dunno.

Weird thing I just played a game where the gesture issue didn't happen. I went and moved the control pitching slider to the left a couple notches.. doubt it was the reason but who knows.

Pitching and batting and fielding have been improved, but this game is a glitch fest. Balls going thru bats on hits, balls going thru gloves and bodies, players skating to cover a base or skating to get back to a base, players disappearing. What the heck happened this year?

I'm going to post this here, pretty sure it's a bug.

I have played only about a dozen games but I have yet to see a player highlight from a previous inning. You know, like in 2K7, if you hit a home run or made a great play, they would show it next time the player comes to bat, first the inning and then the highlight.

There is even an option for "Player Highlights" in the presentation menu and I have every option enabled, but I still don't see them.

I am seeing Inning Highlights and a recap of some key moments around the 7th inning when Jeannie chimes in, but that's it.

Sorry if this has been posted but I searched and could not find it.

I have found that if you turn off Player Highlights and turn on Inning Highlights, you will get both Player and Inning highlights.

Also, I believe there is a problem with the transition logos that go from game to replay. It seems that some of the logos may be too big or complex, and this makes the replay and the game recap stutter. Whenever the logo appears before most replays, there is a pause, but the replay is actually playing behind the logo. So a few seconds of replay is missed most of the time.

It's the same thing with the cutscenes. After an inning, the cutscenes with players running off and the batter walkup, always pauses a few seconds just before getting back to gameplay. But the game is actually progressing during this pause. That's why there is so little time to be ready for a pitch. By the time the game continues after the pause, the AI catcher has already given his sign and the pitcher is ready to throw.

I don't know what 2K will be able to do to take care of this. The game would be so much better if things would just move at a smooth pace.

Speaking of the pitching.
I've had this happen more times than I care to admit.
Scenario of the game doesn't matter.......but I've had times when I've went to pitch,a red circle will appear then disappear quickly,resulting in that pitch resulting in an instant meatball.

So...imagine trying to throw a fastball....pull down on the stick,and instead of getting the normal pitching graphic,you get a quick red disappearing circle..resulting in a meatball pitch....you can't even see the release point...because it's NOT there.

Anybody else seen this?
