I hope that the patch adresses that little issue of the reseting rotations in franchise mode, because that may be a franchise killer. It's all fine and dandy for you're own team when you can just pick the pitcher who's turn it is when you play you're next game, but what about when you decide to puruse the other team's rotations? It messes their up too. And that glitch with the Padres. That's crazy. I feel really bad for Padres fans. I know if that glitch were with the Indians, I would be LIVID.

This thread is getting larger and larger.

Will 2K be able to fix even 75% of our glitches with patch 1.1?

I want them to make a list of all the fixes, like other software companies do when they release an update.

PS3: Pitch-outs go right down the pipe. Luckily the batters don't swing and they're called balls, but they're right in the zone. Kinda funny, actually.

i know this has been mentioned a couple of times in this thread, but the SWB Yankees are broken. You can't edit their lineups or depth chart in franchise mode

lol ... just remembered, in my last game Carlos Guillen (1B) made this sweet full-extention scoop of an errant throw from Renteria, then proceeded to lay there like he was dead for about ten seconds.

Also, I believe there is a problem with the transition logos that go from game to replay. It seems that some of the logos may be too big or complex, and this makes the replay and the game recap stutter. Whenever the logo appears before most replays, there is a pause, but the replay is actually playing behind the logo. So a few seconds of replay is missed most of the time.

It's the same thing with the cutscenes. After an inning, the cutscenes with players running off and the batter walkup, always pauses a few seconds just before getting back to gameplay. But the game is actually progressing during this pause. That's why there is so little time to be ready for a pitch. By the time the game continues after the pause, the AI catcher has already given his sign and the pitcher is ready to throw.

I don't know what 2K will be able to do to take care of this. The game would be so much better if things would just move at a smooth pace.

Not sure if this is a glitch or just weird AI programming but when I have men on base and the AI is pitching right aftter they throw to the plate the ball gets thrown back to the pitcher and then he immeadiately attmepts to pickoff a base runner.

No doubt about it. Its really another par for the course 2k sports release. Lack of polish, asstastic crowd sound. But at least this time there's alot of good to go with the bad. Awesome pitching, solid animations, a great throwing system. If they can just iron out the slowdown during replays/cutscenes it'd be a pretty stellar baseball game.

If this has been brought up sorry.
Has anyone else had thier fielder just stand there and watch the ball go right by his feet, mainly the infielders but I have had it happen to the OFs as well(although with the OFs it seems more like an error sort of thing...it's actually kinda cool looking). It has happened in every game that I play. At first I thought it was just me not getting my player lined up right but the more it happens the more I think there is nothing I can do about it.
It's starting to cost me runs. When your 2Bman just watches the ball roll through his legs and into the OF. I have to change fielders and track it down, auto double.
Please tell me its not just me.

I'll tell you what, sports games are by far the most glitch-ridden of all genres.

I think the reason why sports games have the most bugs is pretty obvious. Every other genre doesn't have as strict a schedule to release as sports games do. GTA4 was delayed by like 6 months just because it wasn't running right.

Meanwhile, sports games HAVE to come out right before a season begins; developers simply don't have the same amount of time as everybody else.

I believe Kushgamer suggested the idea of releasing brand new sports titles in 2 year increments. Just keep on releasing roster updates, and then when year 2 hits---all gamers get a huge new game to buy.

Imagine a sports game with no stat bugs, no glitches--- with new controls that have been tweaked and tested--- with new photos for each player! With a silky smooth framerate! WHAT A WORLD!

They are because so many things can happen within sports games. How many things can you actually do in baseball games? There's just alot of possibilities and bugs will never all be caught.

Derrek Lee was leading off the inning for me and hit a screaming line drive right at the pitcher, which the pitcher caught. Then the pitcher immediately threw to first and got a phantom runner out for the double play.

Then the 2nd batter came up in the inning, and it still said 2 outs. Didn't know a leadoff double play was possible.

I bet you're right. Release schedules for sports games always seem to HAVE to be met.
