I read somewhere else that it was automatic. You just run towards the wall and if the game thinks that you can climb it and make a catch attempt, it will send the guy up.

how to throw a normal fastball that isn't 'full-blast'...like how do you throw 60-70% power etc.?

Thanks Eric, That's why I didn't know what I did, and it just must have done automatically for me...make sense now

You just start the second motion sooner. For instance, a fastball is straight down then straight up on your right thumbstick (then release to throw). When you start down instead of letting the circle get really huge and hold it down for a really long time, push up sooner than you are used to before the circle expands all the way. That will save your pitchers.

How do I call off the other fielder so I can make the catch?

This thread could be a great idea.
I had started a thread about the cutoff man...which I was able to do,but how in the world do you then preload the throw to another base?

As an example....man on first, the batter gets a hit,the cat on first rounds second heading for 3rd,I hit my cutoff man....how do I get him to make a quick hit to 3rd?

I tried the advice that was given in my thread, but it didn't work. I'm having no problems hitting the cutoff...I can't figure out how to get the cutoff to make a quick throw to a particular base though.

Can someone explain sliding to me? I don't think I ever figured it out last year. If, for example, I'm sliding into home and I want to slide headfirst in foul territory, do I hit up and to the right, like I'm looking from the baserunner's perspective? Or do I hit down and right, to go along with the camera's perspective? I always seem to end up sliding to the wrong side of the bag, and I never remember what I'm doing wrong.
Of course, if Dawson gets hot, and
                      Sutcliffe comes through, and....
Pa, see what you did to me?

Livid, you are the man. That's what I missed from last year. I usually take the catcher's calls. But, on 2 strike payoff pitcher I like to try and overpower hitters sometimes. This gives me the option when the catcher wants a curveball.

Up on the L stick and base you want to steal. So....if you want to steal second...get a leadoff with the L trigger, then push up on the L stick and then in this case "Y". 3rd base would be the same, only you press the "X" button.

Last night I know I slid head first by pressing down. I think it should be down and to the left. I'm not sure though. So don't get pissed if My advice makes you lose your next game on a close play at the plate.

Don't worry. I'm still getting blown out on All-Star, so I'm sure one run won't make a difference. Thanks for the help. I think you're right that it's based on the position of the player in relation to the camera angle.
