I've rented the game right before the patch and still have it, so I saw the difference very quickly, but there is still slowdown/choppiness framskipping etc...I'm sure you guys have seen the pick-off throw to second after it happens.

They did a lousy play-testing job on this title, it has its moments, but I'm glad I didn't buy it, because when I return it I will not miss this buggy game.
For what it's worth I'm not an mvp fan either...I didn't think that game was very special.
I never said it FIXED the Frame Rate problem, I said it helped. As for it still being choppy, I'm not seeing it during game play(which matters the most to me)

Exactly. For me it's as good as fixed. Cut scenes have issue, but honestly, I don't really care. The gameplay is very smooth now, I love it.

But yeah I'm thinking about going back to a default slider set and starting over again.

If you do this JISTIC, may I suggest starting @ PRO. I played a game yesterday on Default Pro & the game played very nice. The only thing that bothered me was the AI didn't hit much & the OF were reacting to everything. The AI Pitching was good (had IE On for AI Pitching) worked a couple of walks & the Bat/Ball Physics looked & felt good.

Any stolen bases? That's the big issue for me. I can deal with a frame skip here and there, but basic baseball strategy CANNOT be left out.

yeah, they did something to the game play for sure. i tried All Star last night and it felt easier that before. before the patch without slider adjustments, i gave up a hr after hr and could not hit with swing stick. now i can pitch and hit better.

the pitcher threw a lot off strikes it seemed, but it was only one game.

i am going to try pro after work and see what happens.

Will do. The one thing is, I did switch back to classic batting. I'm done w/ swing stick. I gave it a good try though!

One question. If I play a game on pro in franchise, and I switch back to my customer sliders, or are they gone?

                That's a question I can't answer as I haven't began a Franchise yet.

Yes once you switch back to pro and save the franchise they are gone.

NOPE..I played 3 games post patch with not a single steal attemp....come to think of it I have played well over 50 games and have not seen 1 with custom sliders. The fact that they can leave this out..post patch to boot is astonishing. That would be like going to the auto shop for a tuneup and they remove the windshield wipers...kinda critical component no?

I don't know if any body else has had this happen. But after I downloaded the patch the last couple of games I have hit a homerun in the 7th in and when they bring up the cutscene about who is going to win the game the commentators say that my batter had hit an in the park homerun when the ball clearly left the field.

game seems to play well with the patch, but one question. When I try to sign in to xbox live through MLB 2k8 (mind you I'm already signed into live through the blades) it says some ish about not having updated rosters and that it couldn't sign me in. Uh, how am I supposed to download new rosters if the game won't let me search for them?

I've seen/heard this many times before the patch.

Why in the world would 2K not immediately list the things the patch addressed? I've been enjoying this game so far, but I feel like the kids from Lord of the Flies are running the corporate offices over there.
Of course, if Dawson gets hot, and
                            Sutcliffe comes through, and....
Pa, see what you did to me?

I agree that's the best thing to do but it would take another 2-3 years to have a decent baseball from 2k
NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.

An announcement is suppose to becoming shortly. It needs to be cleared through PR first.
