I can't be absolutely 100% sure....but there's more balls being thrown now. Not a huge amount, but definitely more. Have to wait for the announcement to make sure it's not just some anomaly.Steam: BahnzoComment

Re: 2K8 Patch Available: Official Post Patch Impressions
This is the point everyone needs to keep in mind. It took EA a few years to turn Triple Play into the MVP series, and that turned out to be an exceptional game. I'm thinking that with the changeover of producers (i.e. the main guy who worked on MVP moving over to 2K from EA this past year) it's probably about a 3 year cycle. We're in year 2 right now.

Re: 2K8 Patch Available: Official Post Patch Impressions
after my second post patch game on PRO default, i can see there is some improvement to game play. using tampa and kazmir, i 3 hit the O's. at least two hits though came situations where i accidentally hit the pitch stick and a meatball was thrown. the other came on a misjudged flyball. i was really close to a no hitter. i gave up one BB.
i wish there was some way to cancel out of your pitch when you accidentally hit the pitch stick but for now, i will just be more careful.
i am going to play at least a couple more games on PRO. it felt good for the most part.Comment

I cannot for the life of me find the patch on the Xbox marketplace. However, when I start the game, I'm forced to download an update from Xbox Live. Is it fair to assume that this is the patch?Chicago White Sox | Seattle Mariners | Chicago Bears | Tottenham HotspurComment

Re: 2K8 Patch Available: Official Post Patch Impressions
I've layed a few more games POST PATCH now and am definitely convince there was some unadvertised tweaking done to the gameplay or slider functionality or both
These are some obvious things I have seen more pronounced after the patch without adjusting any of my prepatch sliders:
-Balls now get hit more frequently under the gloves of infielders thru the holes
-CPU Pitchers now throw more balls, especially on 0-2 counts! (yes!!)
-balls outside or even touching the strikezones are no longer called strikes. (however depending on how much of the ball touches the perimeter of the strikezone, some times strikes will be called) But this has now been more toned down
These things alone have me giddy, however I still would love to see them fix the CPU Hit & Run and the Steals!
Also, on a side note, one thing I have noticed that this game doesnt realisitically do is simulate a sense of fatigue setting in on a pitcher throughout the game. There should be a gradual loss of control and velocity as a pitcher's stamina and energy start to dissipate near low percentages....Im not really seeing this. It seems like pitchers still have that same control they did early in the game as well as their velocity. Am I wrong in this observation?Comment

Re: 2K8 Patch Available: Official Post Patch Impressions
I am EXTREMELY happy! The patch definitely fixes the framerate. The only studder I see now is after an out when the 1B throws it around the horn.
Had a spectacular game vs Colorado, where I beat them 3-2 in 11 innings.. wow, what a game that was.. very intense with that lineup Colorado has! One thing I really love about this game is the pace of a game is perfect!
Can't wait for the next roster update to really dig into a franchise.Comment

There is a loss of velocity, albeit slight. 2-4 mph is what I'm seeing...not too unrealistic, but it depends on the pitcher. Some lose more than others in real life. But there is a sort of loss of accuracy, it's the green zone on the pitching meter is smaller the more fatigued he gets as well as the effectiveness area grows smaller.
I'm going to keep banging on this: Get rid of the meatball pitch! The TCP slider and meter needs to work differently. As it is now, the green becomes smaller the higher you set the TCP slider, yet the speed of the meter remains the same. Instead, keep the green the same size and make the meter move faster the higher you set the slider. This makes sooo much more sense as it would be harder to hit the green area. Instead, with the green area smaller, the meter still moves the same speed, you simply throw more meatballs when you miss.Steam: BahnzoComment

If this was mentioned before then sorry but I know Framerate for in gameplay was worked on, Padres issues, grounders getting through the infield (Ronnie Signh told us) and I think I discovered another and that is the double and stepping away from second as now it looks like they step the correct way and get that DP more often!Comment
