If you want the WBC so bad, create the teams. Not a problem in my eyes.

Progressive lighting gone? That's a problem!

lol...glad you've taken it upon yourself to decide for everyone what's should matter.

Jokes aside, I never said not having WBC is a problem, just said it would have been nice to have it. Plus, you can't create the WBC teams unless there's a yet unannounced create-a-team feature OR they have the teams in it, just not the tourney.

I agree about the progressive lighting though, but that's not confirmed to be out. He just said he hadn't seen it yet. If it's out, I will be disappointed.

I said it was problem. I love that mode.

Yeah, I know...just responded because he quoted me.

It would have been nice, for sure. I (like you mentioned) had a blast with it in 2K6.

IF progressive lighting is indeed out? then you might as well kiss the game's graphical impression goodbye. It was 2k's strongest selling point graphically the past two years no matter what it gave the game that extra edge visually. If it's out then whats there left? i honestly see very little oomph that was in 2k7's and pretty much just a better color pallete(thankfully) from 2k8's disaster of a game...

For lack of a better analogy the MLB 2k series is quickly becoming what SCEA's NBA 09 series is

But for right now, and at this moment, MLB 2K9 means hope! Hope for our 360's, just like Obama means hope for America! So let's not burst that bubble of hope just yet! Let's at least wait until March 3rd.

That's the way I should have worded it. Would have prevented my getting a red card.

Is this progressive lighting what makes a 7:00 pm start game turn into a night game over the course of 9 innings?

                    Is that what this is?

Yes, but day games are also affected as well. The sun goes from a high point to starting to get lower in the west. All shadows are affected, the "tint" of everything changes a little bit... you know, stuff like that.

Yea...then that is horrible, and everything they want to talk about regarding presentation means jack & ____ because in the end I don't care about fans going for foul balls. I want to be able to see a 7:00 pm start, end w/ the lights on at nighttime.

And the sun shift as the day progresses from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

I'll hold out hope that it is there, and that the previewer is just oblivious to it.

Very possible. I remember reading a review of ASB 2004 once where the reviewer complained that the ivy at Wrigley was brown.

Well, yeah, it was until about May, when it turned green. Maybe the guy playing the game has it set at night or day. Hasn't played a game with real time settings, etc. Who knows. It could still be there, but not holding my breath.

I am glad we can play AAA games, but kind of bummed they removed the other two levels. Probably needed to remove some stuff from the disk to be able to get all the stuff they wanted to on there.
