I guess I'll kick off the annual bitching about roster ratings.

I skimmed through about 5 teams and gave up. The ones I saw are some of the worst ratings I have ever seen in a sports game. It blows me away its for a baseball game considering the complex statistical data that is available to break down each players abilities/production.

We've got a lot of work to do to clean up the rosters.

There really shouldn't be any complaining about these ratings considering 2K Share's in the game this year. When gamers get their hands on these rosters, big things may be in store.

They're quite similar to NHL 2K9's ratings if you ask me. A lot of players received lower ratings in that title, but the game did a lot to differentiate the few that were highly rated from the "average" players during gameplay. There may very well be a method to their "madness", if you wiiiilll.....

Well pujols is givin the holy 100 and the next two are Arod and Hanley at 94 and 92 respectively. Is pujols that much better than the rest of the league? meh, it doest matter though as 2k share will solve a lot of problems.

Just to give you some perspective, Ryan Zimmerman has the same power rating as Adam Dunn.

Agreed. Yeah I am biased but he is definitely the most feared hitter in the game.

I would have to agree with you. Do I think he's that much better than guys like A-Rod not really but he is the best hitter in the game.

I don't like to complain about ratings but this time I had to. As for my gripes how in the heck is Joe Mauer the same rating as last year when he just won yet another batting title. May I say the only catcher that has ever won a batting title let alone two. That just puzzles me. Also Justin Morneau, he is probabally one of the most feared hitters in the game no question. He was runner up for MVP and if he hadn't choked in the final two series of the season along with the playoff game with the whitesox he would have been MVP no doubt. He upped every one of his stats but his HR total last year. I just don't understand it. Whatever though cuz obviously 2k share will help and I'll just change the ratings to my liking anyway.

If the game adjusts on the fly as the season goes on, they're almost meaningless.

What if Pujols starts the season .250/10 after 2 months?

Yanks have 10 players of 80+, and 4 of 90+ (Rivera, Rodriguez, Sabathia and Teixeira).
