Camera angles and ball trajectory... The show's camera angles dont really show depth in the way that the ball travels in 2K. The shots off the bat and throws are too fast most of the time in the Show.

Who crapped in your Wheaties? If you want to talk about wishing things into reality, you might consider yourself a culprit. There's a contingent of folks here who think any discussion that compares games by different developers "crap" de facto. That's not the case, at least not logically.

From my perspective, it seems that while 2K is starting from square one in a way, they did something really interesting and innovative with the real world thing. We all know it's not going to be as deep or as well-tuned this year as we'd like, but it's a good move and early returns from Steve's videos show the promise of this system.

Why is talking about this--and message boards are for talking about things, both potential and actual, last time I checked--illegitimate?

Great point. I think it's valid to compare the two games because we are seeing game play videos and not trailers.

I'm sitting here and thinking to myself, how all this comparison stuff could be done when all you guys saying presentation and basing it off a demo vs. a near finished product. To me it sounds like you want it to be and therefore it is, which is preposterous.

There's nothing wrong with comparing these 2K9 videos to videos of The Show demo. Neither video is of the final game.

Yes, it will be more accurate to compare the games when they are both finished, but in the meantime, there's nothing wrong with comparing the videos (unless a moderator says otherwise of course).

Now if you could please stop derailing this thread and let us get back to the real discussion, that would be great

Yes people have mention stuff 2k has added this year, but there are things 2k has done in prior games that people feel are better..

Compare the games when they are both out(retail versions) to me of all the threads that need to be locked is this one, I mean the anecdotal evidence is as follows a demo vs. a review code, of which some have played the demo and none have played the review code.

That's my take on this comparison crap, its like when 1up did a comparison of Killzone 2 E3 2007 video vs a finished Product Halo 3 and did an A.I comparison and called the A.I. in Killzone 2 stupid based on a video(unfinished product), now that the finished product has surfaced they are singing a different tune.

Again demo vs. review code that'll teach'em

I've seen 2k's "review code" in these videos and I'm comparing it to The Show's almost finished build that I played a few weeks ago. I'm sure Jim and anyone else will tell you the same.
