- bingo. I still can't believe that they omitted this feature...I haven't played a baseball game that didn't allow created players and custom stances since Pennant race for PS1


how in the WORLD 2k omitted this feature is beyond crazy...you delay the game, take the fine from the gaming board or whoever, but you do NOT do this..period.

Just off topic here but I still own this game. Me and my friend would always have classic homerun derbys!

Forums are less then 5 percent of the player base man I know tons ofpeople that play sports video games and i am the only one that even surfs video game forums.


I think 5 percent is being generous to tell you the truth.

True YET. i have to debate you on this. to think that 'casual' guys don't edit their "stuff" to KINDA represent who they want is very possible and happens.

When you go out in the world you surprisingly find mirrors of yourself...

How would it not be the case again for something like this.

My, how quickly the world owes you one. Jeez people. At least this guy's making an attempt. Even if it's a crappy one, at least he's trying something. I remember when people wouldn't even bother doing that.

An idea for those who are on the fence. Maybe, rather then try to figure out whether the game is the salvation to everyone's baseball prayers before it's even in the stores tomorrow, people should wait and see what the reviews will say and then make a decision rather than trying to figure out whether the game will be good and what the earliest time we can get to a store is. And if you don't like it, go find a copy of MVP 05 for the PC and mod it.

It's amazing how it seems like 2K is slowly losing the support of the hardcore gamers. I never would have seen that 5 years ago. I guess every company benefits from competition.

That is true.

My point is that peeps seem to be getting outraged when the guy could have not even bothered in the first place to do anything, and then everyone would just be upset cause no one's saying anything from 2k. Maybe they should have had someone else get on there, who the hell knows.

- man you guys are being WAY too generous....I don't care if a Nascar dad goes out and buys his 10 year old MLB 2k9, if he sees problems like players being stuck in the outfield wall like the mod over at 2k forums said - they're gonna notice those things as well!

and you guys are WAAAAAAAAY off in arguing that the create-a-player features aren't selling points - look at MLB THE SHOW, their key mode is ROAD TO THE SHOW which is an entire mode created around CREATE A PLAYER....

I wont go into a debate, because debating on opinions is worthless. It can go back and forth all day long and no one will sway the other person

I will say 1 thing, for the people, that like to do that stuff it sucks.

Not much else to say. You either like the game or you dont. I for 1 am going to be playing some games online and enjoying it as i have been.

IN the end, its all personal preference. If someone think its worth it, play it. IF not, then dont.

Ron is simply trying to build some hype for the game but I just don't think he sees how serious the internet community (especially this community) takes their sports games. He's making an effort but doesn't always have the best substance to ride with.

He did this a few weeks ago with the "Big" "Exclusive" announcement. It was when we had zero media and only a handful of screenshots. It ended up being player ratings. When you consider the timing, you just don't use big words like that and then not deliver.

He's just trying but I think he's not thinking about the people behind these communities.

He's just not very good at communicating with people. He is very out of touch with what is important to people on the boards. The boards have been filled with people complaing about the lack of editing stances, yet he acts like it is the first time he's heard of it, which if true, begs the question of why he's even doing the Q&A, if he is that out of touch with the game.

It would have been better just as a question submission for the dev team with him coming back in a day or two and posting the developers answers.

He does what he can i guess, but just isn't very successful pleasing anyone. I think the members of the board seem him more as a joke than anything else...no one takes the guy seriously.

Honestly, how does a guy like this get a job at 2K Sports? How frickin' lazy do you have to be to not know about any of these problems? How stupid do you have to be to open up a thread for us to ask questions when you don't know anything?

I really don't want to be a 2K *****, because I religiously play CH2K8, I love the NBA series and ESPN NFL 2k5 wins over Madden 09 any day of the week. But for baseball, the lone exclusive license 2k has, I've always had a feeling that they just don't seem to care much. Tonight was enough proof for me.

He comes across as a big a-hole sometimes who doesn't care at all. I was in laughter when, in response to the editing issue, he said "I don't know what you mean" Hey, to his credit, he has other things to do other than answer peoples questions. That said, the community interaction at 2K still stinks.
